"Of course he did."

taraleesg1 ,
Your birthday fic, though just getting out onto Word, is already driving me insane. I have been pondering it for several nights now. I have the idea all worked out...but of course the dialog won't come as nicely as I have it all set out in my head.
I blame you for this. I am writing what I know you've been wanting to read for a while now. Driving myself mad ALL because of you.
I am crazy because of you. I lay all this blame on YOOOOOOOU!

Again, quoteless. Fail.
Aug. 30th, 2009 08:40 pmI blame getting sick because...well, I am. And honestly it's hard to think about much right now. I'm trying to get into a fandomy mood (leaning towards working on some vid ideas)...doesn't mean a quote will come easily. LOL.
Only 3 more days left until I head off to Atlanta for Dragon*Con. Honestly, right now, I'm kinda just feeling bleh about it. I'm sure I'll have fun while there, it's just riding Greyhound to GET there isn't going to be enjoyable. Greyhound never is. And then the ride BACK?! Oh joy. Can't WAIT. Plus, getting sick now only makes that seem like more of a hassle. *sigh* This would all still be soooooo worth it if Michael and Lexa were going to be there. Don't get me wrong - I'm looking forward to seeing Ben and Claudia and pretty much everyone else I just saw in Chicago - as well as seeing many of my friends from the interwebz/Twitterwebz. Just...it would be nice to be seeing Michael again and FINALLY getting to see Lexa, ya know?
Spent this weekend kinda just chillaxing around here and hanging out with my friends. Friday night didn't end up being as crazy as first thought. There was drinking involved, of course. We did see part of the drag show, but then ended up leaving and heading back to David's. Had a little bit more to drink, and then went to Rayne. Maybe is was just this impending sickness, but I pretty much just sat around at Rayne and watched everyone else dance. Yesterday was Amanda's birthday, so we went out to eat at Logan's. Then we ended up at Border's. I was going to get Prisoner of Azkaban for my Religion class (it's the only one I couldn't find here at the bookstore), but it was $11. That's RIDICULOUS. I looked for the second Burn Notice novel, but they only had the first. So I ended up leaving the bookstore WITHOUT a book (*GASP*, right?). We ended up at the fountain, where of course I ended up in the damn thing again (voluntarily, again, of course). After that, it was a run to Blockbuster (where I got photographic evidence of Mega Snake and Swarmed being available to rent - yes, I am shameless about these things). We rented a few movies, and came back to watch Push first while drinking some margaritas. I enjoyed the movie - will need to watch it again since it was so damn hard to HEAR the movie. But yeah...I came back to the suite first while they stayed and watched Zoolander.
Today I picked up my room and got a little more organized classes wise. I did attempt to do homework, but the math didn't work out because the site kept crashing Firefox. And the reading for my other classes didn't work because all it did was make me sleepy. Ended up taking a nap. I think I may attempt to read some more if just to get more caught up. If not, I'll have A LOT of reading to do tomorrow evening. Really don't want that.
Random stuff:
~ Either The Little Mermaid or Pocahontas is showing tomorrow at the SLC. Not sure which. I do know we will be going to see it, what it turns out to be. Honestly, I hope it's TLM only because I saw Pocahontas in theaters - would love to see TLM!
~ We all read fanfic in our suite. Well, I was reading some today and Paris (who I share my side of the suite with) comes into my room and then goes 'OH, Daniel...' in a sort of disappointed voice. Apparently she was hoping I was branching out and reading from another fandom (they read Harry/Draco fanfic mostly). Silly girl. WHAT was she thinking??
~ I have nothing else random to say. *snirk*

To all who know what Skittles is...Bacon is an equivalent! ;D
So I figured I'd post a little bit since I have a little bit to post about! Yaaay!
( In which I ramble...such a shock, I know! )
Okie donkie, now that I've rambled on about nothing imparticular, I'm gonna head off and probably have a good ol' time catching up with my Tweeps, who I have selfishly ignored today. ;P

"I'd like Daniel back on the team."
Jun. 10th, 2009 12:20 amNeed = Love. I think that pretty much says it all.
( Cutted b/c I rambled (as usual!) )
Alrighty, that's it for tonight. I'll try and make sure I think up interesting (or completely insane) things to post about every night!
~Pip
P.S. - Pens won. Game 7 is gonna happen. Damn. Why do I have a feeling the Red Wings are gonna lose?
P.S. (squared) - The jersey is evil and tormenting and still NOT here! *pouts* Is it too much trouble to have something shipped quickly?? REALLY?!

"Where did you meet her?"
Jun. 5th, 2009 12:40 amBurn Notice was tres awesomesauce tonight, but it didn't have that POW to it that Victor brought to the table. Still, LOVED the episode and cannot wait until next week. *dances* It's so nice to have new episodes to watch again (of Burn Notice, but in general as well).
EGAD! I've had two back to back tweet posts this week! Horrible, horrible, horrible! I must rectify this! MUST make the time to post here on LJ sometime during the day so not to let this happen again. And no, I'm not FORCING myself to post just for the sake of spliting up the tween posts. I still love my LJ to itty-bitty bits and DO love posting here as much as I do on Twitter. Moreso even, because here I can ramble on and on and on...
So I was busy and productive today! *claps* I've been 'slacking' off with things lately, so today I cracked down and got a lot accomplished. Even refused to watching Burn Notice (INCLUDING Skittle episodes!) so not to get distracted! *gasp!* No, the world is NOT ending. I was just sick of feeling like an unproductive loser. I know it's summer and I'm allowed some leeway in this department, but I can't just let everything get out of hand, you know?
Lets see, what did I accomplish:
- Got the sheets/comforter washed. Been meaning to do it for over a week.
- Sewed up my useless!pillow and purse. Call it the useless!pillow b/c the stuffing is so worn down that it's only good as a cuddle pilllow. It had a hole in it, so the already worn down stuffing was starting to fall out. And I'm not ready to stop using my purse yet (it's the one that Gus signed!), so I HAD to fix it!
- Counted the fund. It's now at $120.85. It kinda sucks to see it that low again, but I know it's only b/c of buying the Photo Op tickets. I have ELEVEN weeks to save up lots more again. (and can you believe that? Only 11 weeks to go!)
- Printed out all the stuff I had fallen behind on printing for Chicago (itineraries, Photo Op invoices and confirmations, etc, etc.). Decided to take a look at all the 'changes' emails I've gotten from Expedia to see what the changes ACTUALLY are. There are some, really minor stuff.
- Cut out/laminated stuff from the latest issue of the SG Magazine. Also laminated the stuff I'd had up in my dorm room. I prefer to have the stuff laminated b/c in my house, things get ruined quite easily if not properly protected.
- Watched the Glee pilot. HOLY SHIZNIT! That show is gonna be some serious awesomesauce! If you are an avid musical lover like myself, you HAVE to see it!
- Did all of Madre's 'to do' chores. I was a good daughter!
Have stalled again in finishing up 'She's Everything'. It's driving me wonko b/c the idea is there, just not how I want to write it. Actually, there's several possible ideas for the line I'm stuck on. But only so many ways I can write it. See, I'm trying to keep it from Daniel's perspective since the song is Brad Paisley singing ABOUT the girl. This limits how I can portray it all. *sigh* And I'm also trying to think up ideas for the other stories to be worked on. I'm determined to update at least three or four of my series stories! I WILL DO IT!
Also getting inspired to maybe make some vids in the near future. Within in the next few weeks for sure since S.2 of Burn Notice is coming to DVD soon!
18 Days until Florida Vacay. Will NOT come soon enough!
Going to get my haircut on Saturday...and possibly recoloring it (though that will be an at home kinda thing)! I'm excited!
Okie donkie, I'm gonna head off now. The prospect of clean sheets is REALLY appealing at this moment!
~Pip
P.S. - I want my jersey, I want my jersey, I want my jersey! <~ My mantra until I actually have the jersey in hand! Waiting is torture!
P.S. (squared) - Boo, Red Wings lost!
P.S. (cubed) - Should I go back and put this all behind a cut? Just the fact that I'm questioning it probably means I should, but I'll wait to see if it actually bothers anyone.

"Don't you touch that boat!"
May. 29th, 2009 11:45 pmJust a quick post so to show I haven't abandoned LJ for twitter (I've just been uber exhausted from sickness these past few days and haven't done much of ANYTHING really)...
Madre and I got these Sea Sponge sponges yesterday at Wally World, and they are rather nice. And tonight I was using mine and realized how squishy it was...and that is was a SEA sponge...and the first thing that popped in my mind was:
"I shall call him Squishy, and he shall be mine. He shall be my squishy."
*snirk* Yes, I am a 20 year old with the mind of a five year old! XP
That is all for this touch of randomness!
~Pip
BTW, Finding Nemo is the SHIT, okay? Don't mock me for loving the fish movie!

"Lay down...your sweet and weary head."
May. 27th, 2009 11:17 pmTo start, being sick really fucking blows and I want my head to feel NORMAL again. (Wow, that statement didn't sound the LEAST bit sexual! *SNIRK*)
Some random bursts of thoughts that I felt needed to be posted:
Thanks for all the feedback on the new header/layout. Rommie seems to be a big flist favorite! This is the first header I've made/used in a while that I really like every bit of, so I'm glad you all like it too!
Red Wings beat the Blackhawks and have advanced onto the Stanley Cup finals! XD This pleases me! (Though, of course, still wish it was the Canucks going...it was fun to have something truly invested in a team!)
I've been lax in my reading...so horrible of me. Maybe tomorrow I'll get some substantial reading done since Netflix frelled up and I won't be getting my next Andromeda disk for another couple of days. So it's either read or sleep...depends on how shitty I feel.
The Photo Op ticket purchasing plan has been revised, and getting the ticket for Amanda's Photo Op has been pushed back since I had to go and buy ANOTHER Michael one. Like I wasn't gonna do BOTH the scruffy and suave options - PFFT! Now with that happening, the Gary Jones photo op ticket might not be in the cards for me. I mean, I'm sure I'll get the money, but you never know if I'll have to pull another 'dash and buy' autograph ticket performance this year too. I like to have my options open, after all.
I've never mentioned it before, but it's SO WEIRD to mention just 'Amanda' here on my journal. I don't usually mention her specifically (not for lack of love for her - she's wicked cool!), but seeing as she is one of the guests at Chicago this year, it's likely I'll be mentioning her more. Just, when you ALSO are named Amanda, it's weird to type it out/see it (unless it's for class, ya know?) b/c it feels slightly narcissistic and like I'm talking about myself in the third person. *snirk*
Alrighty, I think that's it for tonight. I'm trying to hold out and see if the interwebz activity picks up...maybe I could just lie down and come back to the comp should it get more action-packed...

P.S. - Showing off one of my new Star Trek icons!! XD
