Like Shooting Stars

I know my well of quotes hasn't run dry JUST yet, but I've reached that point where all I'm thinking up are things I know I've used. I know I don't HAVE to quote anything, but it's fun and a little different I think.


But I wanted to post SOMETHING since the tweet post is coming up...


First of all, magnavox_23  rocks total awesomepops for making me a nice little set of icons to go with my Photo Ops!!!1 *points to the shiny new icon* The problem was choosing just ONE to put up to be used. They were all so gorgeous!!! *dances*


Got back from seeing X-Men Origins: Wolverine a little bit ago. Loved it, but I don't think I could hate any X-Men movies. LOVED Wade/Deadpool (but of course, it was Ryan Reynolds. Definitely not complaining there!), and Gambit was pretty badass and wicked cool. There's so much potential in these stories, and it makes me kinda wanna write a SG-1 fic with similiar things. But then I'd feel like a jackass for being like all the other jackass who've done it. There are just things in fandom you know you just shouldn't touch. I could think about such things though - to amuse myself at the least.


We went grocery shopping today. Got things like steak, hamburger meat, potatoes, and apples. College living = ur doin it wrong! LOL!! But i'm sorry - if we have a full kitchen and have the means to stock it, shouldn't we?? I don't think it's bad that I wanna make steaks for my friends so we can enjoy and ACTUAL dinner together in our suite.


Okie donkie, need to get this posted before the Tweet Post comes up. I'm hoping to get some fandomy things worked on/finished by the end of this weekend. We'll see how these plans all go.

Just a quick post so to show I haven't abandoned LJ for twitter (I've just been uber exhausted from sickness these past few days and haven't done much of ANYTHING really)...

Madre and I got these Sea Sponge sponges yesterday at Wally World, and they are rather nice. And tonight I was using mine and realized how squishy it was...and that is was a SEA sponge...and the first thing that popped in my mind was:

"I shall call him Squishy, and he shall be mine. He shall be my squishy."

*snirk* Yes, I am a 20 year old with the mind of a five year old! XP

You all KNOW I just LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE my movie quote memes! (Well, maybe not all of you who I JUST friended...but, yeah, now you know). And as always, I'll be trying to switch things up a little and use different quotes and/or different movies...let's see what i can come up with this time!

1. Pick 10 25 of your favorite movies. (I've upped the ante to make it a more challenging version - and it means I can quote more movies! Plus, this was the same amount there was last time!)
2. Go to IMDb and find a quote from each movie (or call one up from your memory).

4. Strike it out when someone guesses correctly, and put who guessed it and the movie.
5. NO GOOGLING/using IMDb search functions, people!. THAT'S CHEATING!!

I've tried to make these relatively harder this time around...of course some will be waaay too easy, while some will probably a little too hard. And of course this is me, so there might be things in there that you necessarily wouldn't see other people quoting as their favorite movies! ;D

Just a couple of little things to post about:


~ Well, Madre and I have put in our support for DIFFERENT teams for the Stanley Cup. She's thrown in her support to the Washington Capitols (since, you know, she's from Arlington), which is an Eastern Conference team. And I think it'd be rather obvious I'm going for the Canucks (they thoroughly impressed me with the quarterfinals!), which is of course a Western Conference team. So it could end up that we'll be pitted against each other for the actual Stanley Cup if both teams make it... Yeah, the last time this happened, it didn't work out in my favor! But that's neither here nor there....THIS will make for interesting family rivalry that ALWAYS makes life at home entertaining! XP


~ I have gone and collected all the quotes I have used for subject lines here...the list is extensive, but not as repetitive as I first thought. And I have realized I still have a lot of potential material to tap into! This excites me b/c I've been slacking with the subject line quotes because I felt anything I would say I've already done, but now I know which categories need more subject line action - AND which SG-1 quotes I HAVEN'T used yet! *rubs hands together in glee*


~ Oh, and it's not a post without some inclusion of Michael, right?? Yeah, that's what I thought... Mallozi's posted a fun pic of him on his latest blog entry. Fun! (and DAMN SEXY....*thud*)


~ ONE MORE DAMN DAY LEFT.... GODS, I JUST WANT TO GO HOME!!!

That is all for now - thinkin' on working on this AU (it's CANON AU though - yeah, an interesting twist for me, I know!) DV fic idea that came to me last night.
