Okay, so I've been watching a lot of Left 4 Dead gameplay on the Youtubez - first, to see what it was like and if I would like playing it...now it's for sheer entertainment...and I stumbled upon posts by this guy that are sooo funny...here's an example...


I spent so much time yesterday (a lot of it the 'wait time' between the setting of blond highlights/pink hair dye) watching his vids...so damn funny.

P.S - Sorry about the lack of actual posting/massive twitter posts. Coming home after such a long period of time means I have a lot to get done/am asked to help with, and five days at home is NOT enough time to get acclimated back to homelife, which thus giving me time to balance out home life and the interwebz!

So, here's how things have been going:

~ STAR TREK!! I HAZ IT!!!! XD XD XD


~ HOE-MG, I have never loved a super hero more in my LIFE. For serious wowsers.


~ What made my day: Guy working at a kiosk in the mall was listening to Defying Gravity from Glee on his laptop as we walked by. HOE-MG, you are my new favorite gay man, random kiosk dude! XD


~ I sparkled like Vampire today. Tested out the 'products' available in Hot Topic..which included body shimmer and glittering scented body mist (OF COURSE they have these - all the twitards would go batshit wonko over being able to SPARKLE like vampire). Now I'm a big fan of glitter. Have loved it long before 'sparkling' adopted such a negative connotation. And the stuff (at least the body shimmer - the scented crap smelled so disgustingly sickeningly sweet. See what they did there??) did give a nice shimmer effect. BUT NOT FOR $18.50. Holy fucking brain failure, batman Hawkman! (Oh yes, I went there. No other super hero exists anymore. See, this is what him playing these parts does. *nods*). You can get body shimmer in the bargain bins at Walmart for like $1. Twitards are crazy insane...

...And on the same Hot Topic note, WHY do the guys get all the COOL shirts?!? Angry Beavers, Reptar, Ahhh! Real Monsters? What do the girls get?? A Jennifer's Body shirt and TWILIGHT. Fail...epic, epic fail.


~ Saw the most beautiful cat today in the pet store by Best Buy. He was so sweet and loveable. His name was Donte, and the adoption fee was....wait for it...$25. O.o Dammit, if I didn't like in a dorm! He would sooo be home with me now. Such an adorkable little cat.


~ Finally got to work on my assignment for the dv_exchange . I was worried about the prompts speaking to me and running out of time, but I got a good portion worked on last night. Feeling a little better about it now.


~ 5 DAYS UNTIL I GO HOME!!!!!

P.S. - In Canucks withdrawal. The last game was played on Saturday (and they KICKED ASS). The next one isn't until Friday night (which means I'll be missing the Back to the Future triple feature at the SLC). Five days is a long stretch in hockey time and it SUCKS. And, to make it worse, was looking at some hockey magazines today and they had full page pics of some of my fav players. But I couldn't justify paying $8 for a magazine JUST for one pic. *sigh*

P.S. (squared) - NOOOOOO, NOT THE EGGOS! WHHHHHHHYCOME?! *wails*

- I WANNA GO HOME! *begins the number mantra* 9 days, 9 days, 9 days!!


- Saw 'The Hurt Locker' tonight. EXCELLENT movie. Very much recommend it!


- Creation really is starting to piss me off. I WANT TO ORDER MY TICKETS, DAMMIT!


- Boyfriend thing is a no go. This was my personal decision, so it's not so much of a bummer.

~ As fast as the days seem to be going by, it seems like this semester will never end! I want to go HOME! I do love being at school and really this semester, at least classes wise and living wise, isn't horrible. I just miss my mommy and my kitties and just being HOME. Get it - I want to be HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOME!


~ I do not approve of the judges choice for this week's cut guy on SYTYCD. I mean, there was a style there that...*sigh* And he KILLED in that solo. Way more than the guy they kept! Totally baffled and angered (And I am aware of their names - I'm just trying to keep it as spoiler free as possible b/c I don't feel like using a cut! XP ).


~ Canucks are proving their own, even with all their injured players! Last night's game was a hoot to watch. The fighting was epic, the WINNING was fantastic, Raycroft and Kesler were on fire, AND CANUCKS ENDED UP TRENDING ON THE TWITTERWEBZ! Last night, it was so fulfilling to be a 'Nucks fan! XD And in related news, I SO hope Kesler makes it on Team U.S.A for the Olympics! That would rock awesomepops and I'd have something to look forward to watching when the Olympics come up in February!


~ I am so amazed and shocked at how many people in my History class AGREE that the internment of Japanese Americans during WWII was the RIGHT course of action! And how many also agree that the use of the atomic bomb on Nagasaki and Hiroshima was the right course of action. Maybe it's just the Daniel Jackson in me (*points* hehe, my mind went to the DIRTY place there), but I think both were WRONG. O.o


~ I kinda sorta really wish it was time for ChiCon/ D*C again...but I AM excited to see what comes out of LA Con this coming weekend. *nods*


~ Was fucked over by the bank again. THANK YOU  horrible banking system of FAIL. THANK YOU!


~ Thinking it's time for a new Pony. Haven't gotten a new one since the summer...I feel the urge to get another one. The current lot is staring at me like 'Come on, we need a new addition to your plastic pony minions!' Maybe I can persuade Madre to get me another when I go HOME (yes, that place again) in THREE WEEKS. I've always been successful before...I'm sure I can swing it again! XD


Yep, think that's it for now. My tummy is talking to me - time to make some eats. :)

First of all, I love my roomies - they rock awesomepops.

Second, here's a highlight of recent events:


- Got the form to change my major. Turning that in on Friday and after that will officially be a History major.

- Got the remaining two 'prototypes' for the holiday cards all drawn up. Happy with how they turned out. Now if only I'd get more than one interested here on LJ...I guess my flist isn't as enthusiastic about receiving holiday love from this hobbit. *shrugs*

- Had minor brain failure after seeing that pic of Shanks from BtS of Sanctuary. As an added note, I always knew there was a reason I found the character of Hawkman as the most intriguing DC character.

- Wrote up a fun DV first-person fic last night. As soon as betas are finished dissecting it, I'll get it posted.

- Had another success in Mission Evil Daughter. Made Madre forget to put detergent in the washer yesterday, and I wasn't even there. Blamed the kittens. XP

- Went to the mall today and DIDN'T SPEND MONEY! (Couldn't really if I want to have dineros to pay for my GameCenter Live)

- Seems someone fell over the railing at the mall?? There were 'don't go near the railing' signs posted everywhere. Guarantee they weren't there last time I was at the mall. Evidential pictures available in the upcoming Tweet post.

- Have determined Paris will be the first turned zombie in the zombiepocalypse and that we will shoot her together b/c we love her. Also discussed how she wants Thriller danced to at her funeral. And how we're all tripping each other when running from a bear. And having kids, too.

- Caught a little lizard, much like I used to do when I was a kid. Made me happyful.

- We are SO making a hide n seek club here on campus!

- Couldn't watch the Canucks/Blackhawks game since it was being broadcast on NHLN. I don't get this channel and can't since I'm on a college cable package, and any game broadcast on that channel is blacked out from GameCenter Live. BOO HISS!!

- SYTYCD and Glee rocked awesomepops.

- CANUCKS BEAT THE FUCKING BLACKHAWKS!!! *dances* POETIC JUSTICE RIGHT THERE!! Thank you Lucky Unlucky Charm (which I'm assuming Shanks still has??)

 And now that the zombie-doomed roomie is out of the shower, I can go get my clean on. SCORE!

So the Canucks are down, and it's not looking very good at all.


Of course there's still two more periods to go, so plenty of time to bring it back. But I haven't been able to shake the feeling that it won't work out in their favor. Have had it all day.


Therefore, this is my good juju post of the evening. I suspect you will have lots of these to come this NHL season...and I apologize if they just annoy you.


But I have to do something, and I'm ALREADY venting on the Twitterwebz!

So since I'm gonna be seeing The Godfather at the SLC tonight at 10, I figured I'd post a few things now so I wouldn't have three twitposts in a row. *shudders*


~ Haz meeting Oct. 20 to get major changed to history and get advising on what I should do for Spring semester. Cutting it a little close since my registration opens Oct 26th, but I'll take what I can get.


~ Have some personal news to share that will take a little more time to explain than I have right now, but I figured I should share it soon since it'll be pretty significant when the time comes. Just mentioning that there will be personal posts coming up soon.


~ Wanted to embed the awesome vid of Kyle Wellwood's Shoot Out goal that was pure beauty, but it wouldn't work. *shrugs* No big deal, really. But I wanted to have it here on my LJ! LOL.


~ In Twitterwebz news, awesome things have happened. Yeah, I don't want to be all OH YES, I WIN. But it's all very really awesomepops.


~ Some fic should be coming soon...should be the key word since I never know how my brabbits will act from one moment to the next.
