So the official Canucks twitter just posted a link to their By The Numbers for the big road trip (aka "The Road Trip from Hell" or the one that will keep them away from GM Place for "nine years" *snirk*), and there's some interesting stats and some funny ones too...

Also, in completely different news, I'm considering doing stargate_summer  (SG-1 Big Bang)...slightly crazy, but I already have a story in the works (that would be 'Choices') and my finally decided resolution for the year is to embrace my creative abilities. So this seems like a good way to keep to that. That, or I really am crazy!

So here's some things:


~ Reason why I love FSU: I get opportunities to see movies on the big screen I never would see elsewhere. Last night, they showed Singin' in the Rain. OF COURSE I was there to see it (Madre would've disowned me otherwise). And wowsers, I have a new favorite movie. First time I sat down and watched the whole thing - fell in love within the first 5 minutes. Now I must own this movie.


~ I mentioned I haz Star Trek, yet I still haven't watched it. I couldn't tonight with the game on (and I already mentioned the Canucks withdrawal). Hoping I can do that tomorrow (if I don't go see New Moon...please, don't judge. I want to see it more for the hilarity than anything else. I'm the chick who LOVES Mega Snake, remember?!)...if not, I will be putting it on Remmie for the roadtrip home.


~ Was all set on a crackberry for my next phone (have a name planned for it and everything)...like dead set. Contract is up for renewal this coming week, so I'm up for a new phone. And Crackberry was my hard set choice...and then I saw an add for Alias 2. HOE-MG!! I have the first gen. Alias...Daniel II, of course. And i LOOOVE it. And this new edition is just....SO PRETTY. DAMN YOU, VERIZON. I was SO SET. Now I have phone dilemma!


~ I have been in a very sketching mood lately. Maybe it's b/c ChiCon is officially on and I can start working on the gift (something for both Michael and Lexa this time...though, in all truth, I had something for both of them this year). It will be artwork, of course. I've been tweeting a lot of the stuff I've sketched/doodled in the past few days. So, here's how things have been going:

~ STAR TREK!! I HAZ IT!!!! XD XD XD


~ HOE-MG, I have never loved a super hero more in my LIFE. For serious wowsers.


~ What made my day: Guy working at a kiosk in the mall was listening to Defying Gravity from Glee on his laptop as we walked by. HOE-MG, you are my new favorite gay man, random kiosk dude! XD


~ I sparkled like Vampire today. Tested out the 'products' available in Hot Topic..which included body shimmer and glittering scented body mist (OF COURSE they have these - all the twitards would go batshit wonko over being able to SPARKLE like vampire). Now I'm a big fan of glitter. Have loved it long before 'sparkling' adopted such a negative connotation. And the stuff (at least the body shimmer - the scented crap smelled so disgustingly sickeningly sweet. See what they did there??) did give a nice shimmer effect. BUT NOT FOR $18.50. Holy fucking brain failure, batman Hawkman! (Oh yes, I went there. No other super hero exists anymore. See, this is what him playing these parts does. *nods*). You can get body shimmer in the bargain bins at Walmart for like $1. Twitards are crazy insane...

...And on the same Hot Topic note, WHY do the guys get all the COOL shirts?!? Angry Beavers, Reptar, Ahhh! Real Monsters? What do the girls get?? A Jennifer's Body shirt and TWILIGHT. Fail...epic, epic fail.


~ Saw the most beautiful cat today in the pet store by Best Buy. He was so sweet and loveable. His name was Donte, and the adoption fee was....wait for it...$25. O.o Dammit, if I didn't like in a dorm! He would sooo be home with me now. Such an adorkable little cat.


~ Finally got to work on my assignment for the dv_exchange . I was worried about the prompts speaking to me and running out of time, but I got a good portion worked on last night. Feeling a little better about it now.


~ 5 DAYS UNTIL I GO HOME!!!!!

P.S. - In Canucks withdrawal. The last game was played on Saturday (and they KICKED ASS). The next one isn't until Friday night (which means I'll be missing the Back to the Future triple feature at the SLC). Five days is a long stretch in hockey time and it SUCKS. And, to make it worse, was looking at some hockey magazines today and they had full page pics of some of my fav players. But I couldn't justify paying $8 for a magazine JUST for one pic. *sigh*

P.S. (squared) - NOOOOOO, NOT THE EGGOS! WHHHHHHHYCOME?! *wails*

So let's see...what to post about.


Had a rather boring Halloween. Got dressed up, of course, but we ended up having no where to go. Had more...well, it was more exciting the night before when David shared some beverages with us. Made watching the Canucks get their asses handed to them by the Ducks less painful to watch.


Of course watching the Canucks shut out the Avs (the top team in their conference) last night was SWEEET!


Am excited about the dv_exchange this year. Looks like it's gonna be epic!


Will be heading home for Thanksgiving in a few weeks. I'm very happy about this. Have been getting more and more homesick with each passing day. This is the first year that I haven't gone home before Thanksgiving, and I'm really noticing the difference.


Oh lovely, New Moon commercials starting on TV already. *sigh*


Nothing else, really. Trying to find something creative to work on (fic, vid...something!), but it's just not happening.

So, I was getting much long-lost joy from watching LOtR today - and by this I mean the true goosepimpley appreciation of the epic scale, epic writing, and epic win of it all... and then something came to mind and it kinda pissed me off...

CULLENISM?! SERIOUSLY?!


Hey, I'm all for enjoying a good fandom. Hell, I've made comments about being a Stargate addict (which, of course, were obviously not meant in a true sense...i think...), that chai tea is crack in a cup, etc.


And I'm holding to hope that these girls are saying it in the same sort of way I say such things above. But the fact that NO ONE can tell if they're being serious or not is a bit disturbing... and I fear for the livelihood of some of these girls.


It's not a religion - it's a cult.


This calls for the use of the PONY!icon because there is nothing but WTFery involved!
 

P.S: Hey, at least this gives mea reason to use my quixotic mood! SCORE!

I love The Princess Diaries - I really need it on DVD.

Well, I figured I'd update on a few things:

~ My shoulder/neck is A LOT better today - taking Aleve and just going to bed last night really helped. There's still a twinge of pain when I move my neck/arms around too much, but it's definitely bearable compared to yesterday. I'm hoping just lounging around here and watching something (after The Princess Diaries is over) will loosen it out enough to make the pain go away completely. If not, then I'll go to Thagard on Tuesday after class.

~ My entry for the Kawoosh 80's music challenge won first place! I'm really surprised, considering it's the first challenge I've entered over there. I mean, there's some good vid makers there, so yeah - surprised. I'll be posting it over here hopefully sometime today.

~ The reading journal due for my ENC class tomorrow is only on the reading, so I don't have to watch King Arthur right away. The journal involving that is due on Wednesday, so I'm gonna watch the movie Tuesday. Which means I'll have to watch Burn Notice either today or tomorrow. Yes, I know - horrible for waiting until just days before it comes back to catch up. But I WILL watch them either today/tomorrow. I have to!

~ Madre is loving the Twilight series - she's already a third into Eclipse. Told me I was an evil daughter for making her read it (yes, b/c I FORCED her to read it...). I already knew this.

~ The girls two doors down from me are being loud as frell right now! It's rather annoying, made even worse b/c their door is open. I'll be happy when I'm out of this dorm next semester - I'm seriously over it.

~ I'll be updating the stuff list, for anyone who cares.

Family Guy is such a sick and twisted show (though not AS sick and twisted as Robot Chicken, of course), and I just love it. I really hope I get at least one of the volumes for X-mika!

I found that having Loud Twitter has really prompted me to post every day. And it's not that I feel obligated to post because of it, it's just my usual OCD doesn't like seeing nothing by twitter posts day after day. A little variety helps!


Picked up Nickelback's 'Dark Horse' today. It was only $10 at Best Buy, and I had already decided I needed to get it. True to form, they have their in your face, no shame songs - and then, also true to form, some rather amazing love songs (GOTTA BE SOMEBODY, of course) that fit PERFECTLY with Daniel and Vala (I'd Come For You - SOOOOO THEM!). Nickelback is a band that is just made of win if you ask me! (Hence the reason I bought their new CD the week it was released! The only other band I have done that with is Linkin Park, who I just...*sigh*)


Being short on dineros really sucks Magical Monkey Balls. To all those people out there who have money to spend on stuff constantly (not including food since that's pretty much ALL I spend my money on), I really hope you're enjoying it. REALLY! ;P


I think that's about it for tonight... I didn't do much of anything except see Twilight and watch Family Guy. Now I'm waiting for Madre to call me back, and then it's bed b/c the after-period drag is starting to kick in (and it too sucks Magical Monkey Balls - this time with added fleas and ticks!)

-She's Everthing, P.2's link to it's location on ff.net is up ondaniel_vala . I could go and hunt down the location and post it directly here, but that's waaay too muh work. I tried posting it directly to LJ, but the damn thing was too big (just part 2 was over 15,000 words). Of course I didn't realized this until after spending 45 minutes doing the code by hand (b/c that saves on space compared to rich text). It usually works, but this time the post was still too big - so it was either break it up into two parts (SO NOT HAPPENING) or post it at ff.net and link it back.


~I've been a bad student and skipped my last lab (not counting the one with the test in two weeks) today. Of course the fact that it was 41 this morning when I would've had to WALK out to the ANT department had NOTHING to do with it at all - oh no, nothing. I've also decided to extra credit for the actual ANT class just isn't worth all the hassle. I need to work on my EUH paper, but I'm procrastinating on that of course!


~Got Suspicious River today from netflix. I might watch it over the weekend, but I'll probably wait until I go home b/c if I watch it now and return it, i'd have to change the address on the site so the next movies would be sent to my house. Then I'd have to change it BACK again a week later. Knowing me, I'd probably forget so I'm not even gonna bother. But yeah, Suspiciou River. My fellow Michael lovers - anyone seen it yet? Good, Bad, in between? Not that it matters - I'll be watching it no matter what since he's in it (completely shallow that way, yes - it's partly why I love Mega Snake so much. He is just so fucking gorgeous that whole movie!). But it's fun to know everyone's opinions!


~I have the SUDDEN urge to watch The Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers Movie. CAN'T IMAGINE WHY!! *sends significant look to someone!*


~Ordered my Twilight ticket from Fandango. I figured it was safe to order it online, that way I don't go all the way out to the theater and not be able to get one. I got one for the 11 Am showing, Friday of course. See how scheduling around Chicago Con has helped me out?! I'm so happy I have no classes on Fridays (at least for a few more weeks - next semester, my free time will be cut drastically). Anywho, purposely haven't worn my Edward shirts so I'd be ready for Friday. I'm wearing the Team Edward one this Friday, and should I be seeing while home with Madre, I'll wear the other one.


~'Secret Smile' deserves a video, si? (And video as in DV)


~5...count 'em, 5 DAYS until I get to go home! *bounces* And Madre has gotten Tuesday off, so she WILL be coming with Smurfinator to pick me up. I have informed her she WILL be coming or I will disown her.


~OMG, NCIS LAST NIGHT!! My Tony/Ziva brabbits were DYING....just simply DYING! I swear, their UST is sooooo completely unbearable! I want them to get together, and I want it to happen now! What SUCKS MAGICAL MONKEY BALLS (with fleas and ticks) is I will be on the ROAD back HOME next Tuesday when they get deeper into that frelling storyline (the one I've been waiting all season for them to get back to!)!!! *headdesk* I'll be able to watch it on cbs.com Wednesday, but still - it's gonna be hell waiting in that car to get home so I can get my ENKISS fix!


~Didn't see Dark Knight tonight - it's happening tomorrow night.

And btw, I made it back to school (obviously).... it took fucking forever, but I'm finally here. I missed my first two classes today b/c I had to get some sleep after the bus ride, but I'm NOT gonna miss the other two...
