Okie donkie, so since LT posted TWICE again last night, I went and deleted my account. I'm going to wait and see what happens tonight...I think the reason it's posting twice is because I was signed up BEFORE the site crashed and I signed up again (since it didn't seem my tweets were gonna post the other day - they did, just about 2 hours AFTER the time they used to be set for) when it came back. So I have a feeling it'll post again tonight (only once) anyways. 

I'll check it again in the morning before I head off to the airport...if it does post, then good (though of couse I don't know how I'll edit anything b/c the site is saying I have no account now). If not, I'll set it up again.


I want to make sure it's set up before I go to Chicago b/c I WILL be tweeting from the con, and I want everyone who doesn't follow me or have a twitter to be able to see what's going on. That being said, we still haven't decided if we want to get the internet access this time (I will have Lord Danny with me, of course) around, so there may be several LONG tweet posts this coming weekend. I apologize in advance. Though I don't think you guys will mind my tweets this time. LOL! There won't be many if ANY @replies - I only have 4 people's tweets sent to my phone, and I will BE there with two of them. The only reason I'll be reply is if I'm replying to Madre (@tiggerwidget) or if Lexa starts tweeting (b/c YES, i have her tweets sent to my phone! XP ). So there shouldn't be much you won't be able to follow.


Suggest, for the weekend, you check out taraleesg1 's and dvshipper 's journals as well - they will also be tweeting from the con. Though I know THEY will have @replies (or well, i know Tara will), so it might get a bit confusing. But yeah...

It's so fun making new playlists! Am listening to the preliminary playlist made for Chicago...it's a tradition we have to make a playlist for each con. This year's is almost finished...just waiting on dvshipper to get me some of her songs added to the list.


So I figured I'd take a break from the half-assed packing I'm doing to post a little bit. I hate it...I don't know what to pack (even after three years of doing it) without feeling like I'm taking too much, and yet I don't think I have everything. It's very frustrating...and I hate that my room is starting to look empty and foreign again...and cluttered/messy where I can't really do anything about it. *sigh* This summer went by so fast, and now it seems these last two weeks are gonna drag on and on.


Let's focus on some con posting...hopefully that'll make the dragging of time worth it (b/c I know when they get here, both are just gonna breeze by!):

A Knight's Tale is easily one of my all time favorite movies. I need to bust out my DVD and watch it...along with a lot of other movies! *curses the summer for not letting her get caught up on movietimeness*


So yesterday, I did a little bit of wall redecoration...even remember to take before/after pictures. And OF COURSE after I go through all the hard work and document it with pictures, Madre's laptop refuses to read my camera's memory card. *headdesk* I could go up there with her camera and take pictures, but then I wouldn't have the before pictures to post with it. *sigh* It's never easy.


One thing I WILL be using her camera to take pictures of is my SHINY NEW CANUCKS JERSEY!!! XD Got it this morning! The mail dude even drove all the way up the driveway to drop the package off at the porch. *tackle!huggles dvshipper* This wouldn't have happened with out her, so right now she is kinda my favoritest person! But I know I'll be getting a novella from SOMEONE probably next week, so Ash could get knocked out of the top spot pretty quick (or if we have another epic night on the Twitterwebz like we did last night! Lexa was my HERO, saving me from Twitter jail!)


I've thought up a few ideas for songs to vid. Trying to think of fun things - 'Somebody to Love', 'Don't Stop Believin'', 'SexyBack', and 'Rock Star' are the possible choices right now. Madre hasn't gotten back to me on the vidding on her laptop thing, though, so I have a LITTLE time to consider some more. But I want the vid sent out by the beginning of July (JUST to be safe!), so I need to know soon.

Today was kinda not fun, though it wasn't completely horrible...just not exactly enjoyable, you know??

Biggest unfun thing - Lord Danny, as expected, went belly up on my today. Actually, he still turns on and the lovely little Toshiba logo screen comes up, but after that it's nothing. It still on and running, but nothing shows up on the screen. I'm thinking hard drive owies. I had my initial flip out over it (i mean, after all, Lord Danny is my BABY...he owns my life!), and am pretty chill about the whole thing now. He will be going to the computer doctors tomorrow to see what the diagnosis is...I'm trying to be both positive/negative about it because it could be nothing or I could lose everything on the laptop.

Before you ask, NO, I never had enough time to get stuff backed up on there. So if all goes not well, all of my pics will be gone. I can take comfort in the fact that my con pics are safely in the hands of another, and that a lot of the stuff on there I'm sure can be found again. But there's personal pics (from my graduation, of various kittehs, etc.) that could very well be gone forever. Not fun.

So as of this moment, I have hijacked Madre's laptop (with permission, of course). Hoping I shouldn't have to be using it for long, but you know how unpredictable these things are.

In good news, got a lovely incense burner and weird little pillow thing from dvshipper !! The are all the way fromj merry ol' London, which is awesomesauce. If you want to see a pitiful pic of them, there's one in the twitpost. I'll try and get around to taking cooler, better pics of the gifts and posting them. I have the next three days off, so it should be possible! XP

And in completely unbelievable news, there was some drunk idiot who came in the store today. He went into the back, in the warehouse, and took a frelling PISS! Jessie found him in there and he was like 'the girl told me I could come back here and go pee.' Jessie told him 'Yeah, in the BATHROOM down the hallway!' Unbelievable. They just get dumber around here with each passing day (Jessie said this to me, so it's not just an 'outsider pov' kind of thing). And you know what I thought of later? Kids, this is why you don't drink and go grocery shopping! *snirk*

Now I think I'll be off for the night. I'm not sure if I wanna work on fic (b/c that's ALWAYS possible whether you have your computer, another's, or a pen and some paper!) or go to bed. Hmmmmmm.

P.S. - If I had to enter any of my vids into the Creation Con vid contest for Chicago, which would you recommend (I Want Candy is NOT an option, for obvious reasons). I would love to use one of my teamy vids, but I only have Stand and At Universe's End. So what do you guys think?? I'd like to have it shipped out to them by July 1st (and I would LOVE to make a new one, but it's not likely with Lord Danny being out for the count right now...unless Madre has WMM on here. B/c you know all my vid clips are on my flashdrives, NOT Lord Danny...).

So since Madre and Smurfinator are downstairs watching 'Run Silent, Run Deep' *will not think dirty thoughts about an old classic movie...will not think dirty thoughts about an old classic movie*, I'm able to be up here rather than being a good socialable daughter. Which means the day's post comes earlier! Yay!


Big happenings of the day - worked on fic. It was only ONE fic, unfortunately, but it did get worked on. If it hadn't been so busy in the box, and there hadn't been massive failed attempts at using Skype, I'm sure a lot more could've been done. Hopefully tomorrow/Monday I'll be able to work on some more. My goal is to have all the major series updated by the end of June. Big undertaking, especially when not all the brabbits for these series are speaking to me, but I'll try my damndest to get it done! Btw, the fic I worked on today is She's Everything.


Hooked up Madre's webcam to Lord Danny Thursday night. And I love it! It's so nice to SEE both taraleesg1  and dvshipper  when I talk to them (though, of course, hearing them/seeing them together seems to be a problem)!! Now we can REALLY do some serious SG-1 watching/commentarying...ABYSS anyone?! *squees at the mere thought of it!* OH, and LOST CITY...AND NEED...AND PAST AND PRESENT...FIAD....THE FIFTH RACE...All of our favorites!!! Hoping to convince Madre to take me to the movies tomorrow so I can see Star Trek for a third time. It really is such love. There hasn't been a Scifi movie of Star Trek's calibur IN THEATERS like this for a while now, IMHO. Not since Serenity, I think. And I just LOVE seeing EXCELLENT movies in theaters as many times as possible. Moving to La has made it difficult and I haven't really expected to see a movie more than once in the past few years, but Star Trek is worth the hassle.


I still wanna know if there's anything you guys want me to go up and ask Michael at Chicago?? I'm desperately trying to come up with SOMETHING to ask, and nothing good enough is coming to me. So of course I'm coming to my lovely flist for possible questions. I know there is still time left before the con, and I'll be nagging asking again, but doesn't hurt to ask now too! Please! I would love to make a shout out to the flist while up there...will gladly represent our little corner of the interwebz here! ;D

First, no I'm not watching Continuum on Skifficans. I love my SG-1 and I LOVE Continuum, but I refuse to give Skifficans the satisfaction of getting my undivided attention. I plan to watch it next week on the DVD when they show it again.

Instead, I've spent my evening watching various other things -

Now I'm in a debate in what I'm going to watch when I'm done here. It's a toss up between a good movie and a bad one. I have so many GOOD movies I want to watch, and only one bad one. That's Jason X. The possible good options are Wall-E, Dark Knight, and Australia. I'll decide soon...I hope!


Went to Starbucks and read some Frankenstein today. Got 30-something pages read. It's a very EASY book to read considering how it's written. It's an EXCELLENT book. Fabulous writing. I've set my 'must read by' date for the 15th - that way I'll have a month to read Angels & Demons again before the movie comes out. I'm sure I'll finished Frankenstein before that date, but you never know.


So I got a new toy (literally)!!!!!:

That's all I've got for now. I've suddenly started considering working on fic b/c I promised dvshipper  I'd finish Part 3 of 'She's Everything' this weekend if she wrote me something awesome earlier in the week (hey, I gotta be a muse who bribes if the situation calls for it!) - it's almost finished as is. But now she's putting out more fic (YAY! WIN!) and I feel I must hold up my end of the bribe! So maybe my good movie/bad movie debate is for not....*ponders*
