Like Shooting Stars

First of all, I love my roomies - they rock awesomepops.

Second, here's a highlight of recent events:


- Got the form to change my major. Turning that in on Friday and after that will officially be a History major.

- Got the remaining two 'prototypes' for the holiday cards all drawn up. Happy with how they turned out. Now if only I'd get more than one interested here on LJ...I guess my flist isn't as enthusiastic about receiving holiday love from this hobbit. *shrugs*

- Had minor brain failure after seeing that pic of Shanks from BtS of Sanctuary. As an added note, I always knew there was a reason I found the character of Hawkman as the most intriguing DC character.

- Wrote up a fun DV first-person fic last night. As soon as betas are finished dissecting it, I'll get it posted.

- Had another success in Mission Evil Daughter. Made Madre forget to put detergent in the washer yesterday, and I wasn't even there. Blamed the kittens. XP

- Went to the mall today and DIDN'T SPEND MONEY! (Couldn't really if I want to have dineros to pay for my GameCenter Live)

- Seems someone fell over the railing at the mall?? There were 'don't go near the railing' signs posted everywhere. Guarantee they weren't there last time I was at the mall. Evidential pictures available in the upcoming Tweet post.

- Have determined Paris will be the first turned zombie in the zombiepocalypse and that we will shoot her together b/c we love her. Also discussed how she wants Thriller danced to at her funeral. And how we're all tripping each other when running from a bear. And having kids, too.

- Caught a little lizard, much like I used to do when I was a kid. Made me happyful.

- We are SO making a hide n seek club here on campus!

- Couldn't watch the Canucks/Blackhawks game since it was being broadcast on NHLN. I don't get this channel and can't since I'm on a college cable package, and any game broadcast on that channel is blacked out from GameCenter Live. BOO HISS!!

- SYTYCD and Glee rocked awesomepops.

- CANUCKS BEAT THE FUCKING BLACKHAWKS!!! *dances* POETIC JUSTICE RIGHT THERE!! Thank you Lucky Unlucky Charm (which I'm assuming Shanks still has??)

 And now that the zombie-doomed roomie is out of the shower, I can go get my clean on. SCORE!

Just a short post because I in the shittiest mood and just want to go to bed... gonna touch on things I'll hopefully update on tomorrow:

- For the first time ever, had wireless in the box. This could be a one time fluke or it could happen again tomorrow when I'm back in there. We'll see how it goes (hoping it goes well since I was planning to do the more detailed post from there tomorrow).

- Raccoons are gone. Yes, it was a short-lived thing, but I couldn't handle taking care of them and taking care of kittehs too. Plus Sikozu was beyond jealous - not good. I did, however, get a few pics of them before someone took them away, so you will get to see them.

- River had her latest litter - four at this time (it was only three yesterday). We're waiting to see if she's gonna have anymore. She still looks pretty pregnant, and four for a cat that's had several litters already is a small number.

- I twittered about it, so it'll be in the twit-post, but yay for Michael winning the Leo. He definitely deserved it - Daniel was AMAZING in Continuum! Oh, and that pic of him? *thud from ded fangirlness*

- I wish I was gonna be home tomorrow to watch the 'special' showing of Urgo on Skifficans - it's not the fact that I have it on DVD and can watch it any time I want. It's the fact that it was the fans who brought it about and for once Skifficans actually listened to the fans.

- Only like 140-something pages to go in Angels & Demons. I'm gonna get that knocked out tomorrow first thing while I'm in the box. I want to have it done - not in time for the movie so much now, since, you know, it's already been said it's not gonna be like the book, but to have it FINISHED. I'm ready to move on. I want to read things I HAVEN'T read already...idk what the next thing will be. Maybe another poll - those are always a hit.

Alrighty, I'm done for now. My head is killing me and the bed looks so nice and comfy.

P.S. - Gonna try and reply to recent comments in the morning...sorry I've fallen behind on that again (not that I have a lot or that it's been forever since they were posted, but I feel bad not getting it done promptly!).

Well, not really, but that's always a fun line from The Mummy... and one of the many quoted over the phone last time I watched while talking to taraleesg1 ! (BTW, to YOU...I TOLD you and they fucking LOST in overtime tonight! WTF, man?! See, I KNEW I should've just said NOTHING about the damn bet!)

Annnnywho, just a few things befrore I head off to bed...I was very busy today and am a smidge tired...


~ Starting back at work tomorrow...money earning starts...wondering if I can convince Madresita to let me start paying her back in SMALL amounts b/c I NEED to start buying tickets for Chicago (Photo Ops and such) and save up for the luncheon ticket...)


~ CANUCKS SUCKED ASS tonight...okie donkie, not really...but DUDE...they HAD that shit. I blame the bad juju on a certain person that we hate in this house that was here tonight in the last 10 minutes of the third period...after that, it all went downhill. In good news, I have realized I'm not just rooting for them simply for the MOST OBVIOUS reason anymore... they have impressed me mucholy with the playing and...well, maybe a certain BET has something to do with it.


~ Speaking of that MOST OBVIOUS reason, thanks to MSOL, got to read a new interview HERE. And look what it says down near the end of the interview: When asked his favorite genre film, Michael said: "Probably I would say Aliens is my all-time favorite SF movie." *cheers* You guys know I LOOOOOOOOOOOVE Aliens, right???? It was one of the first movies Madre MADE me sit down and watch with her (Jurassic Park was another), and I have loved it ever since. It's definitely up there in my favorites... so to find out it's one of his favorites is pretty frickin sweet if you ask me! I've had the urge to watch it recently actually...now I think I might just have to while in the box in the coming days! (Yeah, and the previous comments about the SW movies...ignoring that).


~ So, um...yeah...we have baby racoons. No, not being sarcastic or witty this time. Smurfinator brought home two baby racoons...they haven't even stopped nursing yet...I named them Scorpy and Harvey (clever, huh?). Not really much to say except the kittehs are a little wigged out about it and the little babies are doing okay. We'll see how it goes and I'll definitely keep y'all up to date.


Okie donkie, that's it for tonight...the bed is looking really good right about now.
