Don't really have much to post about, but alas after last night's NOVELLA of a twit-post, cannot have two BACK TO BACK now...oh hellz no!

(Even though tonight's twit-post will be relatively short in comparison - was too busy today to tweet about much).  EDIT: Okay, maybe it'll be a little long...said 'activity' has made it grown in size.

Helped Madre clean the house today - figured I need to stay on the BESTEST behavior seeing as I'm getting money (should it be needed - which it probably will be) for the luncheon ticket. Not that I haven't been doing pretty much everything she's asked since I've been home. Just don't need to give them a reason to turn against me last minute.

I actually have to watch the NCIS Finale still - I wasn't home again tonight (just like last week), so it's sitting on the tape waiting for me to watch it. And I'm trying to get there, but the interwebs is 'active' at the moment, and I don't want to miss a moment...

Speaking of which, just spent 15 mins taking part in said 'activity'. Yeah...I MIGHT get to the finale sometime tonight!

At least it's keeping me busy and not making me completely wonko about this auction!

Oh, and the fic I mentioned last night (or was it the night before? The days have kinda run together since Saturday) has been beta'd and I plan to get that up in the morning.

Tomorrow's schedule is 'busywork' so I won't flip my shit with anxiousness.

Alrighty, I'm off for tonight. Sorry tonight's post was so boring. Hopefully tomorrow will bring some major excitement...

~Pip

P.S. - RED WINGS TAKE ANOTHER GAME! BLACKHAWKS ARE GAYLORDS! *dances*

As per [livejournal.com profile] dvshipper 's request, I will be quoting the Mummy for the next little while...

So here's some random stuff...

Boy do I know how to ramble! )

~ My kittehs are weird!:

This is Suess Cat drinking out of the kitchen faucet - she will come bounding into the kitchen and jump up there the instant she hears the faucet running...because she's weird...and she also stalks me... (of course Sikozu has been just sitting and staring at me all day - it bothers me!)

That's all for now...I think I'm gonna go see how many DVD label stickies I actually have stuck to my wall (are you thoroughly confused now? *snirk*)

~Pip

P.S. - Do we know when the next SG-1 novel comes out?? I mean, Hydra came out in December, so it should be coming around to th next release soon... I just like to be on top of these things...

P.S. (squared) - She's staring again...creepy little Sputnik! No, correction, she's running around the room like a spaz...Another correction - she just used me as her personal stepping stool so she could get on the nightstand to be able to get in the window...because she didn't want to jump on the bed. So again I say: My kittehs are weird!

Let's update, shall we? *dances*

(Warning: I'm in a fantabulously good mood for some reason, so bouts of randomness to the extreme may occur through out this post!)

-She's Everthing, P.2's link to it's location on ff.net is up on[livejournal.com profile] daniel_vala . I could go and hunt down the location and post it directly here, but that's waaay too muh work. I tried posting it directly to LJ, but the damn thing was too big (just part 2 was over 15,000 words). Of course I didn't realized this until after spending 45 minutes doing the code by hand (b/c that saves on space compared to rich text). It usually works, but this time the post was still too big - so it was either break it up into two parts (SO NOT HAPPENING) or post it at ff.net and link it back.

~I've been a bad student and skipped my last lab (not counting the one with the test in two weeks) today. Of course the fact that it was 41 this morning when I would've had to WALK out to the ANT department had NOTHING to do with it at all - oh no, nothing. I've also decided to extra credit for the actual ANT class just isn't worth all the hassle. I need to work on my EUH paper, but I'm procrastinating on that of course!

~Got Suspicious River today from netflix. I might watch it over the weekend, but I'll probably wait until I go home b/c if I watch it now and return it, i'd have to change the address on the site so the next movies would be sent to my house. Then I'd have to change it BACK again a week later. Knowing me, I'd probably forget so I'm not even gonna bother. But yeah, Suspiciou River. My fellow Michael lovers - anyone seen it yet? Good, Bad, in between? Not that it matters - I'll be watching it no matter what since he's in it (completely shallow that way, yes - it's partly why I love Mega Snake so much. He is just so fucking gorgeous that whole movie!). But it's fun to know everyone's opinions!

~I have the SUDDEN urge to watch The Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers Movie. CAN'T IMAGINE WHY!! *sends significant look to someone!*

~Ordered my Twilight ticket from Fandango. I figured it was safe to order it online, that way I don't go all the way out to the theater and not be able to get one. I got one for the 11 Am showing, Friday of course. See how scheduling around Chicago Con has helped me out?! I'm so happy I have no classes on Fridays (at least for a few more weeks - next semester, my free time will be cut drastically). Anywho, purposely haven't worn my Edward shirts so I'd be ready for Friday. I'm wearing the Team Edward one this Friday, and should I be seeing while home with Madre, I'll wear the other one.

~'Secret Smile' deserves a video, si? (And video as in DV)

~5...count 'em, 5 DAYS until I get to go home! *bounces* And Madre has gotten Tuesday off, so she WILL be coming with Smurfinator to pick me up. I have informed her she WILL be coming or I will disown her.

~OMG, NCIS LAST NIGHT!! My Tony/Ziva brabbits were DYING....just simply DYING! I swear, their UST is sooooo completely unbearable! I want them to get together, and I want it to happen now! What SUCKS MAGICAL MONKEY BALLS (with fleas and ticks) is I will be on the ROAD back HOME next Tuesday when they get deeper into that frelling storyline (the one I've been waiting all season for them to get back to!)!!! *headdesk* I'll be able to watch it on cbs.com Wednesday, but still - it's gonna be hell waiting in that car to get home so I can get my ENKISS fix!

~Didn't see Dark Knight tonight - it's happening tomorrow night.

And now I really need to shower, so I'll end this here!

dannysgirlsg1: (Archaeo - Movies)

So I've been meaning to do a nice little update all week - and haven't gotten around to it until now. I know there's a few things I want to touch on, but I have no idea how long this posting oomph will last (because I want to work on some fic as well)...

Hmmmm, what to start with...

I guess we can start with the reading situation. I finished Breaking Dawn last Friday evening - absolutely loved it. I know I'll definitely be reading that one again - probably even before I even consider picking up the other three books again (okie donkie, Twilight is definitely a very tempting book to re-read!). But that won't be happening until I get through all the other books I need to read (I really shouldn't have gone out and bought the Twilight Saga and read it all...i know that, but it was too good and i'm glad I did it!), and not until after I reread Lord of the Rings because it's really been too frelling long since I read those.

Currently, I am reading Anne Boleyn: A New Life of England's Tragic Queen. It's a historical account/biography on Anne. I'm very much enjoying it - the way it's written is quite good. It is a history book, but it reads a lot like a novel in some sense. Maybe it has to do with the subject matter, which is quite dramatic and outstanding in it's truth. I find it fun to read what actually happened in history and compare it to how the creators of The Tudors interpreted that information. It gets the mind going seeing how they twisted certain character's storylines - I especially love the twist with Margaret and Brandon on the show compared to the actual historical account. It's really making me want to rewatch both seasons of the Tudors even more (though I've decided I want to try and hold off on it until S.2 comes out on DVD. That happens 12/30. It'll definitely be a test of my will power!). Following this, I'm gonna read a book on Elizabeth I. Then it'll be back to my reading list still left from the summer.

So two of my shows returned this week - NCIS and ER. Of course I've been watching NCIS regularly for about 2 seasons now, and ER is pretty much a fandom I stick to in syndication. It's not a show I find easy to keep up with while it's in it's current season. But seeing as this is the LAST season of ER (which is just unbelievable), I felt I needed to watch it all. ESPECIALLY considering Carter will be back for 4 eps, and apparently Anthony Edwards is making an appearence (do NOT know how they're gonna pull THAT off!). Anywho, my thoughts on this week's eps for both:

Moving from tv to movies, there is a movie I saw on Tuesday (which is why I missed NCIS premiere) that is just mind blowing! It's called The Fall, and if you haven't seen it, you absolutely HAVE TO! I won't give away too much about (though the trailer below does tell a lot of the story), but just the visual awesomeness and the tenderness of the story itself is all breathtaking! It was filmed over a period of 4 years in 18 different countries... yeah, big scale, epic stuff. I went out and got it at Best Buy on DVD Wednesday because I loved it so much. I'll probably end up watching it again this weekend...it has become one of my favorite movies. I highly recommend it!

Here's the trailer:

I think that's about it for now... I do have a few random things I want to touch on though:

WHY does facebook have to cut me off from sending specific people flair when I find the PERFECT one to send them when flair!spamming?!?!?

Today was the first time, since the night it premiered, that I watched Unending all the way through again. Of course i've watched THAT SCENE more times then I can count, and various other parts (the most important DV parts) as well, but I hadn't sat down and consciously watched the full episode since the night SG-1 aired it's last new episode. Yeah, I cried just like that night. *sigh* Nothing will ever be as awesome as SG-1 was and still is....nothing!

I had TWO Venti Iced Chai today - *shakes head* I swear, the stuff is like CRACK - I am so addicted to it (though I think it's to make up for the fact that I didn't get any for two days b/c the Starbucks on campus was OUT of Chai)!

For everyone living under a rock, Daniel is on SGA tonight!!! I'm mucho excited - it's been a long time since I've been excited for an episode of Stargate (not since the night Unending aired, of course!) and it's fun to be bouncy like this again!

Now I think that's all!
