It's still the first and they are only down 1, but it's not a very pretty game. They are being PWNed by Ottawa.

The Shanks Canucks icon worked last night to help them take back the game...


So maybe again tonight?? They are just down 1 with plenty of time left in the game...but it doesn't hurt to wish a bit of luck on them now.

Just wanted to make a quick post and say I hope everyone had a good Holidaymas!


Mine wasn't anything to get all excited about. The highlight was going to see Sherlock Holmes (after an impromptu trip to the bowling alley, where Smurf beat me by FOUR PINS! O.O). It was an AWESOMEPOPS movie! Everything I had hoped from it was there....all of it was awesomeness. That was some GOOD casting, putting Robert Downey Jr. and Jude Law together. They had the banter down PERFECTLY...made the WHOLE movie (that and the amazing OST!). It was very, very, very reminiscent of Jack and Daniel. For seriously. If you are a fan of the J/D banter, methinks you'll love this movie!


I need to make a list of the small pile of shiny I got this year. I think I'll do that tomorrow night after I take one thing back and exchange it for a few smaller things (including the Sherlock Holmes OST). Definitely didn't get as much this year...not that THAT matters. It's just interesting to see the contrasts of one year to the next!


Alrighty...time to watch some more Canucks awesomeness.

~ Got all the way through my Firefly rewatch today. Took me just over a week (since I spent most of my free time when NOT at work doing those damn holiday cards). All I have left is Serenity (which I didn't have time to watch all of before my shift was over). I think this is the first time I've ever watched all of the episodes on the DVDs...I know i've watched Serenity six million times on the DVDs (ironically, it was the FIRST this I ever watched in the box), but not much with the Firefly eps. Anywho, I'm very happy I did this. Reminded me why I love the fandom so much! :)


~ We're gonna have a rather enjoyable X-mika after all! I know the last thing I mentioned about it was we were getting funds and I'd be getting my jersey. Well, things happened and it looked like we wouldn't be able to have any kind of holiday at all....and then...we DID get the money we were hoping to get. So X-mika, and ya know...lasting from week to week....is back on! Huzzah!


~ Cannot wait for the dv_exchange  to bust wide open!! I'm soooooooooooo hungry for lovely DV-ness in vid and fic form!! I'm getting impatient, I'm so excited!! I hope I'm not the only one!


~ Kittehs and X-mika trees do not mix well. Kittehs are winning the battle AND the war...they've ambushed the angel and taken out Frodo, Christopher Robin, Bugs Bunny, and one of my 'year' bears. I'm fearing for Jack Sparrow, Indiana Jones, and Gandalf. (Also, don't you just LOVE all my ornaments?! Such geek love for my tree!)


~ Just a funny observation: Love how I get a whole slew of new followers (and I mean legitimate 'I will definitely follow back' followers) after tweeting with Lexa. As taraleesg1 put it, I'm in the in-crowd. It's a weird feeling...I'm not THAT interesting, am I?? Alrighty, think that's it for now. Hoping the Canucks can take this game back.

The Canucks are down 1, but I KNOW they can pull this off. So how convenient that ep of SG-1 was on tonight to provide the perfect subject line quote!


So here's some things:


~ Reason why I love FSU: I get opportunities to see movies on the big screen I never would see elsewhere. Last night, they showed Singin' in the Rain. OF COURSE I was there to see it (Madre would've disowned me otherwise). And wowsers, I have a new favorite movie. First time I sat down and watched the whole thing - fell in love within the first 5 minutes. Now I must own this movie.


~ I mentioned I haz Star Trek, yet I still haven't watched it. I couldn't tonight with the game on (and I already mentioned the Canucks withdrawal). Hoping I can do that tomorrow (if I don't go see New Moon...please, don't judge. I want to see it more for the hilarity than anything else. I'm the chick who LOVES Mega Snake, remember?!)...if not, I will be putting it on Remmie for the roadtrip home.


~ Was all set on a crackberry for my next phone (have a name planned for it and everything)...like dead set. Contract is up for renewal this coming week, so I'm up for a new phone. And Crackberry was my hard set choice...and then I saw an add for Alias 2. HOE-MG!! I have the first gen. Alias...Daniel II, of course. And i LOOOVE it. And this new edition is just....SO PRETTY. DAMN YOU, VERIZON. I was SO SET. Now I have phone dilemma!


~ I have been in a very sketching mood lately. Maybe it's b/c ChiCon is officially on and I can start working on the gift (something for both Michael and Lexa this time...though, in all truth, I had something for both of them this year). It will be artwork, of course. I've been tweeting a lot of the stuff I've sketched/doodled in the past few days. - Saw 'The Hurt Locker' tonight. EXCELLENT movie. Very much recommend it!


- Creation really is starting to piss me off. I WANT TO ORDER MY TICKETS, DAMMIT!


- Boyfriend thing is a no go. This was my personal decision, so it's not so much of a bummer.
