Okay, Madre is an evil woman for ONCE AGAIN getting that song stuck in my head. This is the third time it's happened in as many days!

Well, back at school. Not sure how I feel about this. Part of me is glad to be away from home again because it means no more kitteh drama for a while, no more being hollered at to stop what ever I'm doing and help THEM do something. But it also means SCHOOL stuff is upon me and that I don't have those dramatic kittehs to provide me equal entertainment and cuddles. I'm missing them terribly right now and it hasn't even been 24 hours. At this time, I would have a Sikozu or Billie Jean in my lap...*sniff* I don't like the empty lap thing I have going on.

In hair news, the PINK is BACK! XD Just got finished taking care of that (after it took me some time to get EVERYTHING unpacked, set up, put away, etc.), and there's a part of me that feels complete once more! I would take pics, but I didn't dry it tonight so it's kinda pointless. I'll take some tomorrow and post the whole lot (precut, post cut, prepink, PINK!) together.

Alrighty, short entry. There's some fic I wanna read (very EXCITED to read, actually), plus it seems updating the journal tonight is dangerous to my heath. I aggravated my knee when moving stuffs back into my room today and mindless babble post is making me bouncy and rock the knee. O.o Might as well just take the temptation away!

~Pip

P.S. HUZZAH for Michael doing commentary on Penance! XD XD XD He always delivers such amazing commentary!

The Canucks are down 1, but I KNOW they can pull this off. So how convenient that ep of SG-1 was on tonight to provide the perfect subject line quote!

So here's some things:

~ Reason why I love FSU: I get opportunities to see movies on the big screen I never would see elsewhere. Last night, they showed Singin' in the Rain. OF COURSE I was there to see it (Madre would've disowned me otherwise). And wowsers, I have a new favorite movie. First time I sat down and watched the whole thing - fell in love within the first 5 minutes. Now I must own this movie.

~ I mentioned I haz Star Trek, yet I still haven't watched it. I couldn't tonight with the game on (and I already mentioned the Canucks withdrawal). Hoping I can do that tomorrow (if I don't go see New Moon...please, don't judge. I want to see it more for the hilarity than anything else. I'm the chick who LOVES Mega Snake, remember?!)...if not, I will be putting it on Remmie for the roadtrip home.

~ Was all set on a crackberry for my next phone (have a name planned for it and everything)...like dead set. Contract is up for renewal this coming week, so I'm up for a new phone. And Crackberry was my hard set choice...and then I saw an add for Alias 2. HOE-MG!! I have the first gen. Alias...Daniel II, of course. And i LOOOVE it. And this new edition is just....SO PRETTY. DAMN YOU, VERIZON. I was SO SET. Now I have phone dilemma!

~ I have been in a very sketching mood lately. Maybe it's b/c ChiCon is officially on and I can start working on the gift (something for both Michael and Lexa this time...though, in all truth, I had something for both of them this year). It will be artwork, of course. I've been tweeting a lot of the stuff I've sketched/doodled in the past few days. Check out the Tweet Post for those (including Spock eye and beginning stages of a Kirk sketch).

~ 3 DAYS until I GO HOME! HUZZAH!!!

GO CANUCKS GO!!!

So, here's how things have been going:

~ STAR TREK!! I HAZ IT!!!! XD XD XD

~ HOE-MG, I have never loved a super hero more in my LIFE. For serious wowsers.

~ What made my day: Guy working at a kiosk in the mall was listening to Defying Gravity from Glee on his laptop as we walked by. HOE-MG, you are my new favorite gay man, random kiosk dude! XD

~ I sparkled like Vampire today. Tested out the 'products' available in Hot Topic..which included body shimmer and glittering scented body mist (OF COURSE they have these - all the twitards would go batshit wonko over being able to SPARKLE like vampire). Now I'm a big fan of glitter. Have loved it long before 'sparkling' adopted such a negative connotation. And the stuff (at least the body shimmer - the scented crap smelled so disgustingly sickeningly sweet. See what they did there??) did give a nice shimmer effect. BUT NOT FOR $18.50. Holy fucking brain failure, batman Hawkman! (Oh yes, I went there. No other super hero exists anymore. See, this is what him playing these parts does. *nods*). You can get body shimmer in the bargain bins at Walmart for like $1. Twitards are crazy insane...

...And on the same Hot Topic note, WHY do the guys get all the COOL shirts?!? Angry Beavers, Reptar, Ahhh! Real Monsters? What do the girls get?? A Jennifer's Body shirt and TWILIGHT. Fail...epic, epic fail.

~ Saw the most beautiful cat today in the pet store by Best Buy. He was so sweet and loveable. His name was Donte, and the adoption fee was....wait for it...$25. O.o Dammit, if I didn't like in a dorm! He would sooo be home with me now. Such an adorkable little cat.

~ Finally got to work on my assignment for the [livejournal.com profile] dv_exchange . I was worried about the prompts speaking to me and running out of time, but I got a good portion worked on last night. Feeling a little better about it now.

~ 5 DAYS UNTIL I GO HOME!!!!!

~Pip

P.S. - In Canucks withdrawal. The last game was played on Saturday (and they KICKED ASS). The next one isn't until Friday night (which means I'll be missing the Back to the Future triple feature at the SLC). Five days is a long stretch in hockey time and it SUCKS. And, to make it worse, was looking at some hockey magazines today and they had full page pics of some of my fav players. But I couldn't justify paying $8 for a magazine JUST for one pic. *sigh*

P.S. (squared) - NOOOOOO, NOT THE EGGOS! WHHHHHHHYCOME?! *wails*

- Saw 'The Hurt Locker' tonight. EXCELLENT movie. Very much recommend it!

- Creation really is starting to piss me off. I WANT TO ORDER MY TICKETS, DAMMIT!

- Boyfriend thing is a no go. This was my personal decision, so it's not so much of a bummer.

And yeah, that's all I've got.

~ As fast as the days seem to be going by, it seems like this semester will never end! I want to go HOME! I do love being at school and really this semester, at least classes wise and living wise, isn't horrible. I just miss my mommy and my kitties and just being HOME. Get it - I want to be HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOME!

~ I do not approve of the judges choice for this week's cut guy on SYTYCD. I mean, there was a style there that...*sigh* And he KILLED in that solo. Way more than the guy they kept! Totally baffled and angered (And I am aware of their names - I'm just trying to keep it as spoiler free as possible b/c I don't feel like using a cut! XP ).

~ Canucks are proving their own, even with all their injured players! Last night's game was a hoot to watch. The fighting was epic, the WINNING was fantastic, Raycroft and Kesler were on fire, AND CANUCKS ENDED UP TRENDING ON THE TWITTERWEBZ! Last night, it was so fulfilling to be a 'Nucks fan! XD And in related news, I SO hope Kesler makes it on Team U.S.A for the Olympics! That would rock awesomepops and I'd have something to look forward to watching when the Olympics come up in February!

~ I am so amazed and shocked at how many people in my History class AGREE that the internment of Japanese Americans during WWII was the RIGHT course of action! And how many also agree that the use of the atomic bomb on Nagasaki and Hiroshima was the right course of action. Maybe it's just the Daniel Jackson in me (*points* hehe, my mind went to the DIRTY place there), but I think both were WRONG. O.o

~ I kinda sorta really wish it was time for ChiCon/ D*C again...but I AM excited to see what comes out of LA Con this coming weekend. *nods*

~ Was fucked over by the bank again. THANK YOU  horrible banking system of FAIL. THANK YOU!

~ Thinking it's time for a new Pony. Haven't gotten a new one since the summer...I feel the urge to get another one. The current lot is staring at me like 'Come on, we need a new addition to your plastic pony minions!' Maybe I can persuade Madre to get me another when I go HOME (yes, that place again) in THREE WEEKS. I've always been successful before...I'm sure I can swing it again! XD

Yep, think that's it for now. My tummy is talking to me - time to make some eats. :)

So let's see...what to post about.

Had a rather boring Halloween. Got dressed up, of course, but we ended up having no where to go. Had more...well, it was more exciting the night before when David shared some beverages with us. Made watching the Canucks get their asses handed to them by the Ducks less painful to watch.

Of course watching the Canucks shut out the Avs (the top team in their conference) last night was SWEEET!

Am excited about the [livejournal.com profile] dv_exchange this year. Looks like it's gonna be epic!

Will be heading home for Thanksgiving in a few weeks. I'm very happy about this. Have been getting more and more homesick with each passing day. This is the first year that I haven't gone home before Thanksgiving, and I'm really noticing the difference.

Oh lovely, New Moon commercials starting on TV already. *sigh*

Nothing else, really. Trying to find something creative to work on (fic, vid...something!), but it's just not happening.

dannysgirlsg1: (Michael - Canucks Adorkableness)

Just a couple of little things to post about:

~ Well, Madre and I have put in our support for DIFFERENT teams for the Stanley Cup. She's thrown in her support to the Washington Capitols (since, you know, she's from Arlington), which is an Eastern Conference team. And I think it'd be rather obvious I'm going for the Canucks (they thoroughly impressed me with the quarterfinals!), which is of course a Western Conference team. So it could end up that we'll be pitted against each other for the actual Stanley Cup if both teams make it... Yeah, the last time this happened, it didn't work out in my favor! But that's neither here nor there....THIS will make for interesting family rivalry that ALWAYS makes life at home entertaining! XP

~ I have gone and collected all the quotes I have used for subject lines here...the list is extensive, but not as repetitive as I first thought. And I have realized I still have a lot of potential material to tap into! This excites me b/c I've been slacking with the subject line quotes because I felt anything I would say I've already done, but now I know which categories need more subject line action - AND which SG-1 quotes I HAVEN'T used yet! *rubs hands together in glee*

~ Oh, and it's not a post without some inclusion of Michael, right?? Yeah, that's what I thought... Mallozi's posted a fun pic of him on his latest blog entry. Fun! (and DAMN SEXY....*thud*)

~ ONE MORE DAMN DAY LEFT.... GODS, I JUST WANT TO GO HOME!!!

That is all for now - thinkin' on working on this AU (it's CANON AU though - yeah, an interesting twist for me, I know!) DV fic idea that came to me last night.

~Pip

P.S. - I swear, Viva Forever is one of the most beautiful songs AROUND, liek EVAR! *snirk*

dannysgirlsg1: (Thain - Jacob)

Back at school - not sure how I feel about this. I miss home already, and I was just there last night...having lots of fun with Madre! I've already made a countdown - 46 DAYS is too long, but with all the work ahead of me, I'm hoping they will fly on past!

But got here JUST in time to watch Lost Treasure of the Grand Canyon! XD You all know how I love my Jacob Thain! *points to icon*

I'm dying for more of the Tudors. I knew this would happen if I watched that damn episode yesterday. And what's worse is I gotta wait LONGER b/c I don't have Showtime and have to wait until the eps are posted on places like surfthechannel. *headdesk* I'll definitely have to start my marathon back up again because I need a Tudors fix!

Speaking of things online, I found Manifest Destiny (for those who don't know, that's Michael's 2nd Outer Limits ep) on Hulu yesterday. I was so tempted to watch it (wouldn't be the first time, of course), but had too much to do before coming back here today. But I just thought I'd give everyone the heads up if you want to go watch it!

And while we're on the the subject of Michael - how about those sweet pics MSOL posted today from Living Out Loud?? MMMMMMMMMM, he looks so awesomely delicious (not to be confused with magically delicious) in both - LOVE the angst in the second pic! *breathes* I MUST be home in time for this one! (May 2nd, of course, is the day the dorms close for summer - should be leaving the friday before, though, sooo in theory I SHOULD make it home in time to have the VCR set up and ready)

Counted the Fund - Tentatively, it's at $163.60, but there's no guarantee it will stay there. If the rest of the semester goes well, I shouldn't need the money I've 'set aside' in there, but you never know with these things.

And that's all I've got for right now. I'm gonna go make some food and either watch something on the tv or put something in to watch (I've had the biggest urge to watch All Around the Town these past couple days...)

~Pip

OH, and as for the subject line:

That baby's face when he starts singing again! I lose it every time!

dannysgirlsg1: (Jack Danny - Hard at Work)

Right now I should be studying for my Archaeology exam tomorrow, but...well, I've lost the drive to do it. I DID do the 'vocab' list he put up -  well, at least up the Ch.4 section of it (the test goes from Ch.4-Ch.8), and I might go back to it later. If not later, I've already decided to study tomorrow morning before the test, so it's not like I've given up completely!

I'm just SOOO ready to go home! This school thing is just waring me out, ya know? And considering I'm freaking out over two classes (okie donkie, more like one class now. I'm pretty sure I can pull off miracles for the other to at least get a decent grade), I just need a break. Thankfully I've finally realized where I want to go with my damn research paper for ENC, and the reader's response Unit 1 I didn't turn in not being taken into account, I should be okay in HUM. If there's anyone who can make magic from a bleak looking semester, it's me. I know I can do it - I just need to make sure I keep the drive to do it alive.

But I'll be home in two days (if Madre can convince Smurfinator to leave when she wants, I might even BE home in at this time in two days), so my much needed break is upon the horizon. Huzzah!

Went as saw Australia last night - excellent movie! I can understand why a lot of people wouldn't like it, but several of those reasons are why I did enjoy it so much. Baz Luhman was the director (for those who don't know he did Moulin Rouge! and the Romeo + Juliet with Leonardo DiCaprio), so I went in expecting epic awesomeness. It was pretty sweet there was an intermission, and it had such emotional range. I was laughing, I was crying, I was squeeing and aww-ing. Plus the fact that one of my all time favorite songs from one of my all time favorite movies (and even a short bit of the movie is in it!) *point to subject line* just made it that more awesome. And of course Hugh Jackman alone makes that movie win for sure - even if I hadn't liked the story and the whole movie was crap, I honestly think it was worth it just for him and his Sexiest Man Alive-ness! *melts*

Started Frankenstein today - not into the actually story yet. Am reading the introduction on Mary Shelley first - I find her life fascinating (TALK ABOUT ANGST, HUH?) and it's nice to see the life of Frankenstein as a novel before reading the story. Plus it give me more pages to add to the page count! I might read some more before bed - it all depends on what i end up doing after posting and how I feel later.

BURN NOTICE TOMORROW NIGHT!! WHO'S EXCITED!?!?! I AM! XD

Alrighty, I think that's all I've got for now.

*snirk* I think that quote covers quite easily how I'm sure many of us are feeling right now about Brad Wright's response to the backlash from his Q/A (what the hell does he expect anyway? When you respond to a fan Q/A in straight up asshole, it's bound to get negative feedback). He seemed a bit offended by our outcry to his answers - maybe he should've had better responses. And wow, does he not do joking sarcasm well...

Anywho, before I find myself knee-deep in fan!rant, let me move on.

So I'm back at school - am posting from my dorm room right now. Got all my stuff put away and organized. I was gonna take a shower, but getting up at 4 AM is catching up to me and I'm losing the oomph. The new plan is to get up in the morning and take one before my first class of the semester (which just happens to be Intro to Archaeology). It's why I'll probably be getting to bed after this post - I just didn't want to have back to back twitters. That really does irk me to no end!

Tomorrow, Tudors S.2 on DVD!! Yaaaay! And how nice - the archaeology class is the only one I have tomorrow, and it's from 12:30-1:45. That means I'll have plenty of time to get to the mall! XD And since it's the first day tomorrow, there is a possibility that we'll get out early, so I might just get more extra time.

Brabbits have attacked with ideas based around Nickelback's 'Shakin' Hands'. Idk why, but I can somehow see Vala in that roll, and Daniel playing one of her most favorite powerful people. I know it's completely OOC for them, but it seems like a fun idea! Would anyone be interested in reading a fic like that??

I need to get caught up on posting fics over on ff.net, and posting vids here and other places. It's something I could work on tonight, but those type of things always end up taking longer than what I originally intend, so it'll have to wait.

I miss home already - I want my kitties and my bed and my mommy! She called me and I was trying to sound as indifferent as I could because if I started REALLY missing her, I'll get depressed - not the way to start out a new semester!

Burn Notice catch up this weekend - i have the three episodes I missed. Maybe Friday, since like Tuesdays I only have one class that day.

There were a few others things I know I wanted to post about, but they have fled me for the time being. So now I'm off to get all comfy and pass out in bed (nine + hours with Smurfinator in a car is exhausting!).
