It seeming to be Shanks!Decemeber and all (there's a LOT of things he's starred in that are showing this month, plus his birthday is the 15th of course), I decided (and hope to be right) to check the USA schedule for this month to see if, JUST MAYBE, at least one of his Burn Notice eps would be shown...lo and behold, what did I find?

Last night was the first time in pretty much a year that I had sat down to watch AoT all the way through again *ducks from thrown objects* I just don't have time to watch movies like I used to, and I always have something 'NEW' to watch...but I will say I enjoyed it as much as I did the first time I watched it...I was rewinding and rewatching several scenes...


So since Thursday afternoon, it was raining pretty much nonstop until this evening... Thursday, I got caught in the Williams building (which is all the way across campus from Kellum, mind you) for two hours. I have no problems with trudging through the rain...as my Grandpa used to say, I'm not made of salt, nor sugar, nor shit...I'm not gonna melt. I just have a thing about my stuff getting wet, especially my books and notebooks...but after two hours of waiting, I decided to just get it over with. Thankfully, my stuff didn't get very wet at all. Then the rain CONTINUED yesterday - it was so bad they even announced it on the warning system across campus. I didn't make it to class, and the only time I ventured out was in a rare "dry" window to get food, and it was raining before I even got back to my dorm. And TODAY, I did NOTHING all day because it was so nasty outside and the only thing that felt "comfortable" was lounging in bed. I watched pretty much the entire first season of Top Model all day on Bravo, occasionally jumping to Disney for their 'zero to hero' marathon or ABC Family for Jumanji.


But the rain FINALLY let up around 8 this evening, and I wasn't passing up a chance to get out of this room! We went and saw 'Yes Man' at the SLC, and I was rather surprised by how good it really was. I honestly have a hard time watching Jim Carrey movies and not comparing them to Ace Ventura, but this one I really enjoyed as its own entity.


I have realized I REALLY want to get back into LOST again - I need to get caught up on it first, of course. But after catching part of an episode on Skifficans the other night (and the fact that I knew it was the S.2 opener right away is kinda scary...how could I remember something like that!?), I came tothe conclusion that it still has a huge power over me. I'm sad I fell out of it. I mean I was so HARD CORE into it the first season! Damn the movie to Louisiana - screwed with SO MANY THINGS!


Have been kinda slacking in my school work lately - so tomorrow I will be making up for it by trying to do a shit load of stuff in one day! WHOOT - Kids, this is what Procrastinaton gets you. It's why only the few and proud can call themselves Procrastination Musketeers! *HUZZAH TO MY FELLOW MUSKETEERS*


I have finally stopped trying to push up my glasses when I'm wearing my contacts...took two weeks, but I have stopped. Because you know you really feel like (and look like, I'm sure) an idiot when you go to push up something NOT there anymore! *snirk*


Alrighty, think I'm done rambling for the time being - just felt I needed to post something before tomorrow, when I'll probably be posting a lot of nothing while procrastinating some MORE from my school work! ;D

Just a reminder to all in the U.S - AoT "premieres" tonight on Skifficans at 9 EST (so in about 25 minutes)...


I'm not sure how I feel about this... I mean, they are the fuckers who cancelled the show in the first place, and yet they are the ones who get to air it...I mean, I understand WHY they are airing it (can we say promotion for SGU anyone?) on Skifficans, but it just irks me...

Especially since I know how adept they are at editing/cutting movies (watching Serenity on the channel nearly killed me with all the awesome they cut out!)...and one of my most favorite parts of the SG movies will DEFINITELY be cut/edited out...*sigh* It's not so much a big deal for AoT, but Continuum next week... *pouts*

Of course I could always just pop in the DVD...but that'll run through before it's over on Skifficans... and I want to show my support for SG-1...

EDIT: Although, if I watch the BtS stuff (or maybe one of my BtS disks from the complete boxset), I could very well fill in the time gap... HUZZAH! My dilemma is solved!

But yeah, anywho, 20 minutes until AoT is on on Skifficans... just a heads up to any who didn't already know...

Just have a few things to post about...


Finally got to see Ep.6 of the Tudors - Made of win, of course! Henry is amazing! He will forever be my favorite character. Brandon is a very close second and ( behind a cut to avoid spoiling anyone )


Watched NCIS after that, since I missed it on Tuesday (only because my bathroom needed a good deep cleaning after THAT MAN lived in it for over a year and DIDN'T clean it once. JIM is GONE, btw!). And the only revision to the earlier post is i'm not so confident now in one of the character's 'staying' power... But despite that, LOVED LOVED LOVED the Tony/Ziva UST through out the whole episode! I LOVE THEM SO MUCH!


Friendathon fic still an issue, but i'm getting help on that right now! If anyone else has any suggestions of their own for Daniel/Cam frienship piece with the prompt 'learning curve', just drop a comment. I'd really like several different 'thoughts' to work from. XD


The Michael vid - haven't had a chance to work on it since Monday, but will definitely dive back into THAT either tomorrow night or Saturday while in the box (definitely Saturday while in the box!) - There will be an available viewing of it (flist only, undownloadable, of course) when it's finished for feedback. So far, Madre likes what I have. Of course having actually FANDOM peeps check it out would produce more knowledgable feedback in the content used....


Crap, I thik i'm getting sick. I felt like shit all day yesterday (i ended up having to work 8-4 on a register b/c James is a dick and scheduled me then), so when I got home, I laid down. Slept until Madre got home from work, hung out with her for a little bit, then came up and went BACK to sleep. I felt better today (less BLEH), but my throat is still hurting, and now my nose is starting to stop up and I'm starting to cough.


OH, also, i ended up getting a HIGHER check than i planned, so I gave Madre $60, put $80 in the savings toward CHICAGO, and had a little left over to last me until next wednesday. And I should be getting another check like this because now I'll have four days this week instead of three since James had me working yesterday (so as much as working yesterday totally sucked balls, i got more hours so it'll be good in the long run).


And I think that's it for now - I need to get to bed soon, and try to keep this sicklyness at bay!

So back in Tally... *sigh*


Madre and Ted are spending the night in the University Inn, right down the street. I walked down there so we could go to dinner, and DAMN, the room is nice. I definitely nicer than my room here in Kellum. They're stopping by in the morning, while I'm getting ready for class (OYE!), to pick up the CDs I just ripped onto my comp (Bon Jovi, Journey, and Cher - all greatest hits, of course!) and the box for my printer...


Yes! I FINALLY got the printer I was promised way back in the summer! *dances* Its a three in one - prints, scans, and copies. It's an HP, and it's nice, though it seems every frelling time I turn off the printer or disconnect it from the laptop, i have to 'reinstall' it when I want to use it again - which is pretty frelling uncool if you ask me. See here, I don't have a big deal with keeping it on 'cause the light being on doesn't bother me (since the lights from outside are soooo damn bright!). But at home, I cherish the darkness of my room - it's not DARK, DARK b/c I have no blinds/curtains on my windows and the moonlight/starlight shines into my room, but it's dark enough to where most lights reflect off my walls and bug the crap outta me (doesn't help that where the printer is, directly above it is one of my still-wrapped SW posters, so the light literally SHINES at me...) - so right now, I don't have to turn it off. But at home - i'm gonna have to cover the lights up like I do with basically everything else. LoL


Other things I got over spring break:

SG-1 Complete Series boxset - glad I got it, but if I had known SOMEONE was gonna flip out over it and start frelling screaming at me Friday night, I would've just bought it for myself. It's not like it was out of the blue or anything - been saying I wanted it since it came out, asked for it for Christmika, was PROMISED i'd get it for my birthday...he just made such a frelling uproar over something that wasn't his business anyway. It was something between me and my mom, not him. And it's not like it was HIS frelling money to spend...nor did he use his money to buy the printer HE told me he was getting me (my mom paid for it)...


*breathes* That's been waiting to get out since Friday night...I'm good now, I swear!


Got AoT of course! Have watched it twice so far, though I have a feeling a third time will be coming up within the week ;D And wanna hear the brilliance that is amazon this time around? Preordered the movie WAAAAAAY back in Decemeber, right? They ship is SUNDAY, from PA, right? When did I get it? YESTERDAY! That's frelling ridiculous, right? What's the damn point of PREORDER if it's not gonna arrive the DAY OF or BEFORE (which happened when I preordered the Ext. Edt. of the LOtR: TTT - I got it the day before it was released, which was SOOO DAMN SWEET!)?!?! I mean, I KNOW things have been shipped from CT before, and have gotten there two days later! *shakes head*


It wasn't like I wasn't prepared to go out and buy it Tuesday anyways - which I did, and of course I watched it TWICE that day ;D. Now, I have two copies - my GOOD unopened copy (which stayed home and looks mighty shiny on my SG-1 shelf), and the one I brought with me here (which looks mighty shiny on my bookshelf next to me now, amidst Local Custom, and The Tudors S.1)


Anywho...


So I DLed all the episodes of SCC I didn't get to watch (and the last one I saw, which I accidentally DLed), and am planning on getting caught up this week.


While I'm on the note of TV Shows, I have two questions:


~Is ENKISS new this week? (I was seeing commercials all last week about all the CBS shows being new, but I didn't see any for ENKISS, so I'm not sure...)


~Does anyone know if iTunes will be getting S.2 of The Tudors as it airs (season premiere is March 30th, btw), or if it'll be like last year when they didn't get it until AFTER the season was released on DVD (which made the whole thing POINTLESS!)???


Now that I've got those questions out of the way, I'm gonna end this post with a very vague hint to my latest 'project':

Tomorrow, I am going home for Spring Break!! I've been missing home since...well, since the last time I left! ;P


Madre and Tedly are gonna be getting here sometime in the evening tomorrow, probably around six-ish. And since she should be getting her tax refund money tomorrow, the plan is to stop overnight in Mobile, then get up Saturday morning and go see the battleship that in the harbor there - how awesome is that?!


Also, since she's getting her money, she will be able to pay me back my $300, AND she will finally be able to get my BIRTHDAY PRESENT! What is she getting me, you may be wondering? THE STARGATE SG-1 COMPLETE SERIES BOXSET!!! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!! Yes, I know I already have all the season on DVD, and that I still will eventually be getting all the slim cases, but I don't care! I am a true stargate fan at heart, and am a collector at heart, AND I WANT THOSE DAMN SPECIAL FEATURES! LoL! I've been drooling over this boxset since I first saw it IN PERSON at Best Buy - and next week I'll be GETTING IT! YESH!


And what ELSE will we ALL be getting next week?! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!! Can you believe it's gonna be out already?! We've been waiting soooo long it feels like!!! FIVE MORE DAYS FRIENDS!!!!!!!! And, for the OST obsessed like me *cough towards someone specifically*, WE GET OUR OST!!!!!!!!! I mean, it's not one for seasons 8, 9, and 10, BUT STILL - ANOTHER SG-1 OST!!!!! *DANCES*


In other good news - FINALLY finished the Farscape novel I pirated from taraleesg1 with permission way back at the beginning of Novemeber. I actually didn't start reading it until January, but I was so caught up in school, and friends, and fic, and fandom - I just haven't had the time to read a good book like I use to. So this week I decided I was gonna turn and burn on it, and yesterday I MADE time to finish it! I missed my math class, even, to get it done. It was a sacrifice that had to be made for my personal good cause - I've felt bad (even though I know I don't need to) about having the book for so long, and i STILL have the S.2 companion - which I WILL read during Spring Break, I swear! It's even already packed in my backpack!


Other things I'm planning on doing over spring break:

-Make that vid I asked ya'll to give me ideas for - which I am again eternally grateful for! Ya'll guys suggested things I just couldn't bring to mind, and I will definitely be dedicating the vid to you all! :D

-Write the Myth Analysis paper for my Folklore class <~~ This one I HAVE to do, obviously, but I'm planning on knocking it out in the beginning of Spring Break so I'm not rushing to do it, cause it's due the first Monday we're back here. I might even get the majority of it done on Sunday (that would be this Sunday), since I know Madre is working.


Speaking of Madre and working this upcoming week - she's gonna request an extra day off so we can have at least one whole day to spend together that won't involve just DRIVING...LoL. Of course the plan is to spend that day SHOPPING - I know I'll be getting my boxset, and hopefully the novelized form of Local Custom (I like having something to read along with - if I can't find it, I'll have to make do), if Barnes and Noble or BAM has it, a new bra for sure, and Madre might just get the laptop she's planning on getting with her money. Then TED can get us our webcams, and we can actually see each other when we talk! *claps* (yeah, I'll just hold my breath on the last part - let me repeat: TED is gonna get these for us - I'll be out of college by the time that happens!)


I really, really, really want to watch Serenity - like the urge hit me while I was down in the laundry room washing my jeans and my rug (there's no point in doing all my laundry and paying money when I'm going home tomorrow and will be able to do it for free!). *sigh* But, SG-1 is on at 5:30 today - so if I watched Serenity, I wouldn't be able to watch SG-1 (at least not all of it) Why Skiffy is showing it as THAT time is beyond me, but hey, they're showing Stargate tonight (the movie) - which would be the second time in two weeks, so I'm not really complaining But I really am!


Alrighty, I think that's 'bout it for now, so I'm gonna go and probably work to fight off some of those brabbits whackin' at me with those whupass sticks of theirs!
