Okay, I am NEVER watching At World's End on ABC EVER AGAIN!!
It was all cut to hell and some of it was very important stuff - the whole scene between Tia Dalma and Davy Jones wasn't there, they cut out where Bill says to Will that the Dutchman has a purpose again, and the stuff with Gibbs and Jack in Tortuga after Barbossa steals the Pearl (again). I didn't catch all of the movie, so there's NO TELLING how much was really cut out.
Horribly pathetic and just...pissed me off. Did they think we wouldn't notice ALL of that was cut out??

So, here I am, posting from my Ragans dorm room. It's compact...I don't want to say small because I REALLY don't need that much space, especially with a commons room to spread out in if need be. But this room is all for me. I am sharing with no one. You know how nice that is?? If my roommates piss me off, I can just close and lock my door. Though I doubt they'll piss me off...but it's nice to know I can shut out any intrusions. A very comforting thing to know.
The move here wasn't fun or easy...if you saw what I what I was tweeting about, you'd know we got stuck on the Atchafalya Basin Bridge for two hours. From what Smurfinator found out, a 5 year old and a 3 year old had been ejected from a vehicle. What I want to know is why they weren't in some kind of child restraint to begin with?! Total shame, I tell you. The things that could be AVOIDED if people weren't so damn clueless.
And then, of course, after that everything just became something for the Smurf to bitch at...including me right before we left. And I wasn't even INVOLVED in the damn argument they (that being Madre and Smurf) were having. But of course it always ends up being my fault. Whatever.
Though, it wasn't cool to find out right in the middle of their screaming match that Star Trek wouldn't be showing tonight. From what I understand, they couldn't get something or other to get it to play. So they moved the showings around. Now it's going to be showing Friday/Saturday/Sunday. *sigh* Not that I'd rather be here seeing it than where I'll be, but still. I was REALLY looking forward to seeing it tonight...being able to say I saw it 5 times in the theater. Oh well.
But I WILL be able to say I've seen Curse of the Black Pearl 11 times on the big screen come tomorrow evening! You know how cool that is?!?! YEARS afterward, I can increase the number! *dances*
So I've taken pics of my room here (and the commons room/kitchen too), but I've decided to wait until after Chicago to post them. I have no idea what I'll be coming back with this year, so figured it's best to wait.

Since mentioning to taraleesg1 yesterday that we will be reattempting Slinkie and stairs, I've been in an Ace Ventura-y mood. LOL.
Just a few quick notes to make tonight:
- Watched the SGA episodes for my marathon today. Started LTOTGC, but the gas pumps ended up breaking sometime between yesterday and today and of course RIGHT when I start the damn movie, the guy comes along to fix it. So I ended up working some more on 'Choices' while I waited, and by the time he left I was totally engrossed in the story and writing and just never picked back up with the movie. I plan to continue on with the marathon, though idk if I'll start back with Lost Treasure, or hold off on that until I'm at school. I don't think I'll have the time tomorrow.
- Tomorrow is for finishing packing, doing laundry, and trying to enjoy my last day at home. We're leaving tomorrow night (technically Wednesday morning) between midnight and 1. That means tonight is my last night in MY bed for a long while. *sigh* At least this coming year, I will have my OWN room. That's something to look forward to.
- Planning on seeing Star Trek both showings Wednesday night at the SLC. Since i'll be off doing fun conventiony things the other days it's showing, I figured I might as well enjoy all of it that I can before I leave. Oh, and Curse of the Black Pearl is playing Thursday night (like Ace Ventura and Jurassic Park did last year). Goonies is the second movie, and despite loving the movie sooo much I do not think I'll be staying to see that one. Pirates though??? OH HELL YES! I've been saying how much I'd give to see the first one on the big screen again. *dances*
- That watch I ordered? I got it and I love it. Except when it decides to be icky and stop working for short periods of time. Why do I end up with the retarded watch? *headdesk*
- LoudTwitter lives again. I've set it up to try and have it post behind a cut automatically. We'll see how it goes. I debated about setting it up again, but decided to do it b/c it's such a relief having the tweets archived and easily accessible here. Especially with the Twitter Nazis fucking with tweet counts.
- GOT MY PHOTO OP EMAILS TODAY!! XD XD XD XD XD ('Nuff said)

I just thought I'd post a little bit b/c we all know how much I hate back to back twitter posts (though that doesn't seem to stop it from happening too often!)
I was copying my music onto a few DVDs for Trey b/c he asked (he even said do the OSTs), but for some reason my laptop has decided it doesn't want to work with the current disk anymore and won't show it to have anything on it (though it SAYS it's half full - with what?! air?!). So he's just going to have to live with what I've got so far - I'm not gonna futz with my dear baby b/c he's techy sometimes and gets cranky *pats laptop affectionately*
We're taking Trey to the airport tomorrow afternoon - which means another trip to New Orleans. Joy! Maybe THIS time we'll get to go shopping like we were promised we'd do the trip last week. (Not that the Audobon Zoo was bad - I lvoed it very much!) I just wish it didn't take so long to get there/back, b/c have the day is wasted driving. And working on Monday only makes the trip tomorrow even less enjoyable b/c I know I'm losing precious at home time...
If we do go shopping tomorrow, I'm hoping I don't see anything I really want b/c The Tudors S.2 comes out on Tuesday, and I'm being good and NOT spending the money I plan to use for that! I did order the '09 SG-1 Calender from Creation b/c thw Twilight one i have just won't be enough - I NEED my SG-1 calender. Other than that, I have no plans to spend my money until I have Season 2 IN my hands and a walking out the door with it.
I tried to purchase more txt alerts from LJ, but it doesn't seem to be working. I mean, I get the text to reply to and do reply back 'YES', but my txt alert number still shows zero and I'm not getting any txts from LJ when someone comments. It's truly frustrating me!
Got two new OSTS yesterday - Wall-E (FINALLY!) and The Dark Knight. Of course we all know I've wanted Wall-E for a while, but I hadn't really realized I'd wanted The Dark Knight OST until I watched it again on X-mika and was like wow, I love this music. I NEED this music! (I shouldn't be surprised - it's Hans Zimmer and James Newton Howard that are the composers!)
Speaking of Hans Zimmer, I've come to realize that Pirates is like my movie crack. If any of the three movies are on anywhere in the house, I will gravitate to it (quite involuntarily) and sit and watch it rather than do things I should be doing. And I can't just put it on and do other things - I HAVE to

We're taking Trey to the airport tomorrow afternoon - which means another trip to New Orleans. Joy! Maybe THIS time we'll get to go shopping like we were promised we'd do the trip last week. (Not that the Audobon Zoo was bad - I lvoed it very much!) I just wish it didn't take so long to get there/back, b/c have the day is wasted driving. And working on Monday only makes the trip tomorrow even less enjoyable b/c I know I'm losing precious at home time...
If we do go shopping tomorrow, I'm hoping I don't see anything I really want b/c The Tudors S.2 comes out on Tuesday, and I'm being good and NOT spending the money I plan to use for that! I did order the '09 SG-1 Calender from Creation b/c thw Twilight one i have just won't be enough - I NEED my SG-1 calender. Other than that, I have no plans to spend my money until I have Season 2 IN my hands and a walking out the door with it.
I tried to purchase more txt alerts from LJ, but it doesn't seem to be working. I mean, I get the text to reply to and do reply back 'YES', but my txt alert number still shows zero and I'm not getting any txts from LJ when someone comments. It's truly frustrating me!
Got two new OSTS yesterday - Wall-E (FINALLY!) and The Dark Knight. Of course we all know I've wanted Wall-E for a while, but I hadn't really realized I'd wanted The Dark Knight OST until I watched it again on X-mika and was like wow, I love this music. I NEED this music! (I shouldn't be surprised - it's Hans Zimmer and James Newton Howard that are the composers!)
Speaking of Hans Zimmer, I've come to realize that Pirates is like my movie crack. If any of the three movies are on anywhere in the house, I will gravitate to it (quite involuntarily) and sit and watch it rather than do things I should be doing. And I can't just put it on and do other things - I HAVE to

I think that's it for now - I'm being attacked by brabbits, but the rain hitting the roof is making me sleepy and making my bed call out to me...
