OOOOOOOKIE DONKIE, let's start THIS post off with all the SHINY BURN NOTICE FUN WE'VE GOT....

FIRST, GO to MSOL  and watch THE CLIP from Thursday's episode!!!!!!! *DANCES AND SQUEES* I've already watched it a handful of times, and OMFG, I'm loving Victor already. Shanks plays the BEST bad guys!!!!!!!! *swoons*

And then, swing on over to the Burn Notice forum on the USA site, and pop into the Michael Shanks Thread. Of course, sign up to the forum if you haven't already (they actually have this cool option of using the same account you use for the Skiffy forum, if you want to), and then share in the squeeness that will be MS on Burn Notice (and he will be SO GOOD - DAMN, I want Thursday NOW!) I've already made my intro post over there (same display name, of course, and y'all will recognize my avatar!), so it would be awesome to see some of my home burritos there too!

*phew* Now that I've been a good fangirl and pimped (shameless plug? *snirk*) the awesomeness that is Michael Shanks, I can get to my personal posting fun....

I worked today. Yes, exciting - I know you all can sleep better tonight knowing this. THANKFULLY I didn't work with Jenna (I swear, that girl is the biggest, snobbiest pain in the ass to work with!), so I didn't have any reason to be in a bad mood. Well, I was a bit pissy for a short while, but THAT was because of Smurfinator. He was supposed to bring my lunch on my break, and didn't until an hour later. Fucker! But other than that, work kept me busy enough (and that was WITH all the rain we had today!).

Yesterday, I went shopping with Kylie (and managed to spend almost ALL of the $60 i'd put in my account on Wednesday - now we know why I keep my fundage for Chicago seperate) and got a couple of things that are really awesome. I'd been wanting to get a new 'vintage' shirt before going on the trip, and managed to find the perfect thing at Hot Topic (of course!):

CLICKIE FOR THE LATEST WARDROBE ADDITION!

Ain't it classy?? At least that's what [profile] dvshippercalled it. [profile] taraleesg1said it was definitely me (how i love her! She even knows my wardrobe habits! XD) I was looking around HT's website for other possible 'pin up' shirts, but all the others that they have, they all say playboy ON it. I don't like that very much - when it's sutble and classy like the one I got, with just the bunny on it, that's cool. But when it's blatantly showing PLAYBOY, it seems to lose that class and the 'vintage' feel. I mean all those wannabee whores wear the playboy shit, and I'm not one of those. (And THAT is a glimpse into my fashion opinion!) I was actually iffy about the whole thing being playboy, but again it's subtle on my shirt, soooo....

I also got two pins (some of you know I'm a big fan of those!). One simply says 'MWAHA HAHAHAHAH, MWAH HAHAHAHA, MWA HAHAHAHAHA'. Very straight the point if you ask me, and it had me cracking up. The other says 'Better to be a SMARTASS than a DUMBASS'. It's very me, I feel. *snirk* GODS, I LVOE HOT TOPIC! I swear, my next purchase from there has GOT to be the pink ranger shirt! XD

Also, being the good fandom girl that I am, I put back a shirt at PacSun in hopes of finding something I wanted at FYE. Good decision because it turns out that had another Farscape DVD (used, of course, but beggers can't be choosers when it comes to something like farscape on DVD). It's the Best of Season 1, and has Premiere, DNA Mad Scientist, A Human Reaction, The Hidden Memory, Nerve, and Family Ties on it. I have none of these episodes (not counting iTunes, of course), so i feel it was a good purchase.

Today, Ted had been going through VHS tapes in the living room, and happened to find one from his birthday in '96. We had a party that year, and obviously there was a video tape recording at the time. And it was funny seeing everyone 12 years ago! (I of course had teeth missing and was giggly and obnoxious and sassy - so the only thing that's changed is the teeth grew back! *snirk*) Madre and I kept making comments on how skinnty Ted was and that he had hair - OH, and that he used to be nice! And it was fun trying to remember who the people in the video were... AND TREY! OMG, TREY before he hit puberty!  Of course, the best part:

Madre (who was holding the camera and trying to get me to take something to my room): Mandy...
Me (at SEVEN, mind you): I know, I know!

See! The snark has always been there! LOL!! What really trips me out is that this was even before SG-1 was even airing! MY GOD! I was thinking that because as we watched the video, The Scorpion King (which we had on in the kitchen) ended on Skiffy and SG-1 came on (I even yelled it was when I heard the intro start) and i was like OMG - this wasn't just before i got into SG-1, this was BEFORE SG-1 PERIOD. I know to a lot, that doesn't seem like a lot, but considering how SG-1 has become such a part of my life in the past several years, it's kinda weird, ya know?

I know there were other things I wanted to talk about, but I can't really remember them at the moment (I blame SG-1, which is STILL ON - i will admit that Skiffy, at times, can be pretty rockin' awesome!) and I don't wanna make your flists any longer with my ramblings...

There is just SOMETHING about the way Cam says that that just cracks me up! *snirk*

So what is there to talk about this post...

Well, I was very productive today. I got my laundry done (though it's still down in the laundry room - i'm planning on bringing it up here and folding it tomorrow - i swear!), cleaned catboxes (always a FUN chore!), cleaned the kitchen, and burned some trash. Actually, it was pretty cool because Smurfinator's chair was in the pile b/c he broke it with his fat ass (no lie! It literally broke while he was sitting in it). I, of course, got pics of it burning. Planning on posting those on my photo journal/comm pips_image_dump (just a little shameless plug there!) tonight or tomorrow (depending on how much oomph I have after I finish this post).

I just got finished adding to the Chicago Con Fund. With the addition of half of my check, which I got today, it is now up to $372.04! *dances* And I STILL have two more weeks of work to go before I head back to school, so again that amount will be going up (hey, maybe I'll get lucky again and that idiot will come to the box with his $20. I AM in the box twice this week). Oh, and btw, the raising of minimum wage didn't really do SHIT... I went from having a $118 something check to having a $123 something check. Fucking Hebert's!

OH, so I found out the dorms at FSU don't open until August 20th (I was under the impression that they opened the 16th)... This means I will have THAT day to get all unpacked and 'settled' into my room and get semi-aqcuainted with my new roommate, the next day to prep and get all prepared for the con, and then get up at 4 am Friday the 22nd and go off to Chicago. LOVELY! I was AT LEAST hoping for those few days in Tally to get settled and back in the school groove. But it's all good - now I won't really have time to think about being homesick RIGHT AWAY, and I'll get a few extra days at home. Plus that means I get another week of work in and get more dineros to blow use at the con.

Madre and I were disgussing going to the Brad Paisley concert in October. It's gonna be on October 4th. That's a Saturday (and on a completely unrelated note, Halloween is on a FRIDAY this year! SCORE!), which means it would be completely doable for me to come home. Since my classes this coming semester are all Tuesday/Thursday classes, I would be able to catch a Greyhound that Friday morning before the concert, and just catch one back Sunday night, and not have to worry about missing any Monday classes since I don't have any! Of course all of this depends on if the tickets are still available by the time I get my money, and how my actual schedule turns out (not classes wise, but RL wise). All I know is i REALLY want to see Brad Paisley in concert - he's already been here, and I've missed him (along with Nickelback and Rascal Flatts - gods, I suck!), and I DON'T want to miss out again. Not when the opportunity is so easily attainable!

This morning, I got to watch one of my all time favorite episodes of ER. I now know it's called 'All in the Family'. This is the episode right after Carter and Lucy get stabbed - the one where it seems the entire ER/Surgery is going out of their way to help save John and Lucy! XD I love all the friendshippyness and the angst and the emotions this episode. This is one of those episodes where you actually LIKE Romano. And just that entire scene in the trauma room with Lucy, Weaver, Dave, Mark, Courday, and a crap load of other characters we love... it's just amazing! And Benton running down the stairs after finding out Carter's been hurt. I've always loved the Benton/Carter dynamic of the show, and this is one of those episodes where it really shines. Watching this episode made me want to watch some of my other favorites (ironically all Carter-based eps... think he's my favorite character?! *snirk*), but surfthechannel only has a handful of them, and they DON'T have the one I REALLY wanted to watch (where Carter has a walkout b/c he feels the ER isn't safe - it just shows how he's worked his way up to being the 'rock' of the ER. He's the one everyone follows now, and i LOVE that!)

I was thinking about giving you guys a litte preview of one of the fics I've been working on... its DV of course, and it's based off of a Brad Paisley song.... anyone interested in seeing a part of it? *innocent smile*

Okie donkie, I think that's about it for now... it looks like I won't be getting to the pics tonight. I'm feeling a little tired... I'm probably just gonna wait until the Blood Diamond OST is over, than go to bed...

dannysgirlsg1: (Wall-E - Wall-e and Eve)

I realized last night that I was sorely lacking in the great ace inspired subject lines - so it all you see is Ace quotes for the next week, you know why...

I really don't have much to post about tonight b/c all I did as work today, but there are a few things I wanted to talk about...

First, before I lose the oomph to do it, I HAVE to rant about the thing at work today that makes me GLAD I'm heading back to school in a month. There are certain days when I work inside that I really cannot STAND the other cashiers. It's not something they do specifically,  like say something bad or act horrible. It's just almost all of them are selfish, spoiled, south louisiana raised brats. Kylie and Gabbie are probably the only two I never have an issue with. Take tonight, for example. Whitley and Janice were working (we always have three cashiers on Friday nights, since it is the busiest night of the week for us) with me. I know i've mentioned it before, but these girls tend not to talk to me because they think their hot high school shit and i'm not important. It's no big deal, really. I've taken to bringing my notebook to my register and writing to [livejournal.com profile] taraleesg1 or working on fic when I don't have customers. And of course, i ALWAYS stop writing when someone comes to my register. Well, these girls (and it's not just these two - most of the other cashiers do it) will get caught up in talking to each other, or with one or more of the floorboys, and not be paying attention to customers. So I'll end up with three people lined up at MY register, when registers 2 and 3 have no one at them. And of course i always say, in a kind manner, to the customer that 'she can get you on register 2'. I shouldn't HAVE to say that - whoever's ON register 2 should be paying ATTENTION and let the customer know HERSELF that she's open. If i see someone standing in line at another register, and i have no one, I always let them know I'm open... And it's not just happening once. It's happening OVER AND OVER. At one point tonight, I was in the office helping Madre and Kylie walks in saying 'Mandy, there's someone at you're register...' I was like 'I'm not AT MY REGISTER, WHY is someone there?!' Because Janice and Whitley had let her put her stuff up on my register without saying anything. And Whitley had NO customers at the time! I was pissed, to say the least...

I actually prefer working with one of the floor boys on register than with any of the actual cashiers! I mean, at least the boys will let a customer know he's open. Jessie is the best to work with because he pays attention to customers and he makes me laugh and talks to me... But Jessie is off until after tomorrow. *sigh* So i've had to deal with annoying cashiers and mostly annoying floor boys.

Yeah, I won't be missing my job when I go back to school. Knowing that it's waiting for me when I get back here isn't looking as good as it did last year...

Okie donkie - enough about Hebert's for now....

So my tongue is still a little irritated. It's not as bad as it was last night, but it's still annoying me. I listerined again tonight, and it has helped. I'm hoping it'll be gone by tomorrow morning...

OH, and I've figured out why I was feeling a little off last night. I got my FRIEND today (didn't i say I hoped that's what it was??). And surprisingly, even with getting it today, I was in a good mood all day. I've been bouncy and perky and...bouncy. I think the pics from the Continuum premiere at Comic Con helped. Oh, and I'm gonna get to see it in TWO DAYS, and Chicago is less than a month away!!!! And having all these people give such lovely reviews on ff.net! (even though i still feel horrible for spamming like i did. I really wasn't posting back to back to back like it came up...i mean, there were time gaps in between a lot of the fics being posted...but ff.net just put them all up like that!)... so i've had lots of things to keep me in a good mood!

Burn Notice is made of win - just thought I'd say that.

Also, [livejournal.com profile] taraleesg1 and [livejournal.com profile] dvshipper both saw it today, I've been thinking about Wall-E. It reminded me that I wanted to try and find a possible list of all the Disney/Pixar cameos that they always throw into each of their movies! They're always fun to look for when you go back and watch it! I can't seem to find just a round-up of the cameos and I was wondering if anyone happens to know where I can find one?  (There is ONE cameo I saw on my own, and that was seeing Chomp from Toy Story in a section of Wall-E's earth junk collection. I tried to see if the Pizza Planet truck was in there because it's the ONE thing in ALL of the movies, but I never saw it! I'm SURE it's there though!)

Okie donkie, i think that's it for now... my PLAN (you know how those go *snirk*) is to work on Ch.13 of CoL.... hoping to get it done tonight!

I didn't even see that part, but I did watch the whole 'Big Bada Boom' stuff and whatnot, so I have Fifth Element on the fron...

Anywho, much of today was NOT made of win. Not only did I wake up feeling more than a little tired (and i don't know why - I got up at 11!), I had to work a register today, and that is never something that's fun when you're feeling lethargic and blah! Well, i get there and start doing the whole 'nice cashier' thing because I know I hate getting a bitchy cashier when i'm at the store. Things were slow today, so it wasn't that bad. There was this ONE guy that came to my register and was HARASSING me. First he walked in the store and said something to me, and i didn't understand him. So I asked him to repeat it, and he said 'nevermind.' Then he bought a candy bar at my register (after 'pretending' to walk out with it), and then hovered around. One of the floor boy brought a watermelon to my register for the guy this man had come in with, and the creepy dude walked off to find that man. Then he came to my register AGAIN with two bags of chips, and walked away. A woman came up between the creepy dude and the man he was with, so the man he was with let her go. But the CREEPY dude was like 'who put that  up there? Who put that up there?' the whole time I was ringing the woman up. By this time, his badgering was getting on my nerves and I was trying to ignore him. So i wrung up all the stuff the guy he was with was getting (including the watermelon, which the creepy guy kept asking if I've wrung it up. 'Did you get this? Did you get this?' Finally I said yes, and he said 'Yes sir!' all snippy - like i was gonna sir him.), and started to bag it. Well, creepy dude (who kept calling me 'young man') began snatching up the bags almost right out of my hands before i even had a chance to put them on the register. Then when I had finished with all the bags, he reached out and snatched my wrist. I told him to leave the store, which he did. But  I was so aggravated and upset I started to cry (remember i was feeling groggy and crappy to begin with), so Madre took me in the office to calm down.

I swear, if I didn't know Chicago was gonna be worth all this, I'd quit in a heartbeat.

I calmed down after a little bit and got back to work (though I told Madre later that if that guy ever came in the store again while I was working, I wouldn't help him), but not without some serious contemplation on quitting. Why do I put myself through all this hell week after week?!

As [livejournal.com profile] taraleesg1texted me during my break - CHICAGO MY LOVE!!! CHICAAAAAAAAAAAGO! (I have to repeat this mantra daily or I'll sure walk right out of that hell hole.)

I know some of you are thinking 'well at least you have a job and i'm sure it's not that bad.' Yeah, try working in South Louisiana at a grocery store where arrogant meets stupid! These people think they are the greatest things to walk the earth, and are too damn stupid to realize just how messed up they REALLY are. GAH!

Moving on, the crappiness reached it's peak when I managed to spill Mountain Dew Code Red all in my purse. Thankfully I realized it before anything got majorly ruined (such things as the current SG-1 Novel I'm reading, my camera, my iPod, the RETURNED letter for [livejournal.com profile] taraleesg1), but it's still the fact that is happened to me on THIS day. Now I have to wash my purse and use a spare for now (in all honesty, i want a NEW purse but can't be spending the money on the type of purse I want. *headdesk*)

The crappiness did ease up eventually and I found myself in a good mood by the time i clocked out, but it's just the fact that i always seem to have my worst days WHEN i'm working that pisses me off. I hate that i'm only working for the money right now. If I didn't need it so badly for next month, I probably wouldn't be working at all!

Right now I'm seriously debating DLing the Wall-E OST. I really want a new OST (there's a few of you who understand this NEED for a new one!), but I want to wait and see if Wally World has it first b/c I HATE DLing whole OSTs from iTunes. It's just more satisfactory to have the CD in hand and the case to display with all the rest of the OST cases. *sigh* And also, I shouldn't be spending the money. *headdesk*

On a fanfiction front, I stayed up last night to work on a post AOT DV piece who's brabbit was insistant and whiny and wouldn't leave me alone. I actually like the way it turned out because it's friendshippy DV stuff, with a HINT at something more. I have a hard time keeping it away from the relationship stuff with them, so I'm proud of myself that I stayed within that friendship box. Of course there is another post AOT DV fic that would have them breaking free of that box into the romantic stuff (it actually could work as a follow up to the one I wrote last night), but the one last night turned out as i hoped it would - Friendshippy with a splash of future something thrown in! XD

I'm also planning on posting the rewritten chapters of Family (which was the first fanfiction I ever posted) tonight before bed, along with the latest fanfic done for [livejournal.com profile] mission_insane. Speaking of my mission_insane, if you go my master table post and see a prompt you want me to write something for, just comment here or on that post and let me know with the prompt. Right now, the only prompts that aren't linked to their proper fics, or don't have the fic posted for them yet, are Bite on the Saucy Table, Don't Dream it, Be It on the Phrases table, and Worthless on Un-themed #4. Feel free to pick any of the others. I know I'll think of SOMETHING for them!

I have just eased my need for a new OST. JUST ordered the Mamma Mia! OST from Amazon (okie donkie, preordered) because i am SOOOOOOOOOO excited for this movie! I mean WOW, you have no idea how excited I am. I am the biggest sucker for musicals EVAR, and this one looks to be an EXCELLENT one!

Okie donkie, I think that's it for now. Time to go perused the flist one last time before posting all that fic!

Things were slow today, so it wasn't that bad. dannysgirlsg1: (Wall-E - Touching Stars)
I have watched Robot Chicken this night - hence the reason for the really random subject title. There is nothing quite as wrong and distasteful as Robot Chicken (and I want to know WHEN they are going to, if ever, release Star Wars Robot Chicken on DVD! I NEEED IT!)...

Anywho, I realized it had been a while since a 'proper' update, so I decided I'd do one tonight (actually, wanted to do one last night, but got tired and went to bed (wow, who would have THOUGHT...*snort*)...

The bulk of what I wanted to talk about was my day yesterday. It was an action-packed, adventurous day with the usual twists and turns that come when the three of us (me, Madre, and Papa Smurf) go to town. It was so action-packed that we left the house at quarter to ten in the morning and didn't get back until almost ten at night. Yep, complete twelve hours day...

First of all, let me say that waking up to John Crichton is A LOT better than waking up to the annoying alarm clock. See, instead of setting my alarm clock to go off at 9 yesterday, I set my phone. And of course the ringtone i used was the S.3 intro for Farscape (yes, I do have it as a ringtone. You are allowed to feel jealous *snort*).  It was soooo nice waking up to that! Of course now I'm wishing I had the S.4 one as a rigntone also...I might have to work on getting that. LOL...

Moving on - we headed out to Lafayette. First place we went was to Ted's appointment for his elbow (checkup or whatsuch). Of course that took a good half hour or whatever. It did give me time to start another letter to [profile] taraleesg1 and read a little more of my current book. After we finished there, we went to the Walgreen's in the same parking lot so I could get some more makeup. See, I have a tendency to break ALL my black eye shadows. Doesn't ever fail - it always gets broken in travel, or dropped on the floor and shatters. So that's what I was getting at Walgreen's - i got THREE different black eyeshadows, just in case.

We headed off to Sam's after that (after stopping at Starbucks so I could get a chai tea to tie me over until lunch), and Ted bought me this really nifty (yes, i said NIFTY) ipod dock. What makes it cool is it's a video ipod dock, so it not only plays my music, but also any of the videos on my ipod. I, of course, took some pics of it tonight (and am using it now):

Funny little side note - Sam's ofcourse had a floor model out so you could test the dock. I popped mine in, and went to the video menu. Selected tv shows, and Farscape was the last thing highlighted. So i clicked it. What's going to make this funny is for some unknown reason, I have been quoting Crackers Don't Matter for DAYS now - and not just my usual 'look everybody, sunshine's awake!' part, but the part where John spells T'raltixx. Anywho, clicked on Crackers Don't Matter, and GUESS which park started playing?? That's right... 'Anyone? Anyone? A brand new car! No! T'raltixx! T - ' - R - A - L - T - I - DOUBLE 'X' - T'raltixx!' *snort* I squeed in Sam's very loudly (not unlike my squeeing in Wally World when I found Megasnake!).

We went to some place Ted needed to go after that, and then it was lunch at Olive Garden! *dances* It was my belated Mommy's Day Present for Madre. She hadn't been sure if she wanted to go to Olive Garden or Buffalo Wild Wings, but in the end she chose Olive Garden. And I'm soooo glad she did because WOW, the amazingness of the food there never ceases to amaze me. Got my usual - Chicken Alfredo. Delicious! Brought it home of course, and had some for dinner tonight. There's still a bit left, so it's BACK in the fridge waiting for me to devour the rest tomorrow. *sigh* I love my Olive Garden Chicken Alfredo!

After lunch, we headed to the Grand to see WALL-E!!! And OMFG! AMAZING!!!!!!!! It was visually spectacular, funny and cute, and just downright made of win all the way! The short was funny (thought not as good as Taken - the short before Ratatouille), but it was definitely the movie that took the gold. The music was downright fantastic (i'm contemplating just DLing it from iTunes. I could check Wally World next time I go, too), and the story was soooo sweet. I cried. Really, I did. Wall-E and Eve were so adorable!!! Is it bad I was making a connection between them and Daniel and Vala?? Yeah, I think that's bad, but I don't care! They were awesome! Also, i think it's bad that every time I saw Fred Willard, all i kept thinking was JACEK JACEK JACEK - see what we get when HE runs the planet?!

But, yes, Wall-E PWNS - I won't say it's BETTER than Nemo, but it's just AS GOOD as Nemo. They are now both tied for my favorite Disney/Pixar flicks!

Though I have come to realize I can't take Ted to see a kid's movie EVER AGAIN! Let me set the scene for you here. I went to get us seats while they got the popcorn and whatsuch. Well, i get in there, and there's only two parents and their little girl in there at this time. Well, they had that middle row - ya know, the best one? So I took the row just behind them. The mother turned around and was like 'i'm just letting you know she might talk - this is her first movie'. I was like it's all good. I mean, how cute?! This little girl must've been maybe three, and her mom and dad are taking her to see Wall-E. I didn't think parents actually DID that anymore! But anywho, when Madre and Papa Smurf got there, I told Madre, and she told Papa Smurf. Now jump ahead to the big drama of the movie...I won't say anything that will spoil anyone, but it was an intense moment. And just as the movie goes quiet enough, Ted says in his overly loud, booming voice 'Knock that little shit out!' Both me and Madre turned to him and went TED!  I swear, I thought that little girl's father was gonna turn around and do something. I wouldn't blame him either - i mean, come on! This is a DISNEY MOVIE, Papa Smurf! I think he's just SOOO used to me taking them to see things like Pirates, Underworld, Harry Potter (the latter ones, of course) that he just wasn't making the connection that there is no cursing in this movie for a reason!

After that, the day got less exciting. We went to Duson and visited his dad. Went to Rayne and visited Johnny, Willie, and all their lot for a few hours. Then we came home and crashed, basically...

And today I had to work (yes, working on the 4th - remember, we're BARELY closed on CHRISTMAS. God Forbid we be closed on JULY 4TH!), so it all just became bleh after seeing Wall-E. But it's all good because i'm off tomorrow.

OH, and for my fellow JP fans. When we got to Rayne, at Jaimie's house, there was a goat. Well, me being me, went 'where's the t-rex?' Not even a second later, the goat did his little 'baaaaaaa!' thing. Both Madre and I BURST out laughing. Of course only her and I have these JP moments outside the home, and of course only people who appreciate JP will get the humor in it, but it WAS funny to us!

I think that's about it for now. I'm tired.... I'm planning on posting a lot of things tomorrow, including the changes in my summer reading list, the pics from vacation last month (I swear - i even got them all loaded onto photobucket!), putting the rewritten 'Family' stuff on [profile] brabbit_hole, and other things. It's probably gonna be my LJ catch up day tomorrow.

It sucks being annoying!sick - ya know, when your nose is like PFFT, throat is like PFFT, eyes are like PFFT, head completely feels like it's filled with cotton, and body is going BLEH...

It's another thing to be annoying!sick and have to deal with the STUPIDITY that is Hebert's...

The ONLY reason i'm not telling Madre I'm not going is I want the four days - and this is my last day this week on register - next two are in the box, which is honestly one of the best job ever for a person like me. This is ONLY to get more money for Chicago - the only reason why I'm putting myself through this HELL...

*sigh*

Another annoyance? My Google desktop toolbar posting things from months ago - I like having the RSS feed so easily accessible, but when it's posting things AGAIN from MARCH, it gets a TAD annoying...

Anywho, that's all for now. Almost time for me to go off and deal with the Hebert's drama.

*points to icon* Using this one in honor of the txt commentary had today while [livejournal.com profile] taraleesg1 took part in watching AOT again. XD

Just have a few things to post about...

Finally got to see Ep.6 of the Tudors - Made of win, of course! Henry is amazing! He will forever be my favorite character. Brandon is a very close second and behind a cut to avoid spoiling anyone )

Watched NCIS after that, since I missed it on Tuesday (only because my bathroom needed a good deep cleaning after THAT MAN lived in it for over a year and DIDN'T clean it once. JIM is GONE, btw!). And the only revision to the earlier post is i'm not so confident now in one of the character's 'staying' power... But despite that, LOVED LOVED LOVED the Tony/Ziva UST through out the whole episode! I LOVE THEM SO MUCH!

Friendathon fic still an issue, but i'm getting help on that right now! If anyone else has any suggestions of their own for Daniel/Cam frienship piece with the prompt 'learning curve', just drop a comment. I'd really like several different 'thoughts' to work from. XD

The Michael vid - haven't had a chance to work on it since Monday, but will definitely dive back into THAT either tomorrow night or Saturday while in the box (definitely Saturday while in the box!) - There will be an available viewing of it (flist only, undownloadable, of course) when it's finished for feedback. So far, Madre likes what I have. Of course having actually FANDOM peeps check it out would produce more knowledgable feedback in the content used....

Crap, I thik i'm getting sick. I felt like shit all day yesterday (i ended up having to work 8-4 on a register b/c James is a dick and scheduled me then), so when I got home, I laid down. Slept until Madre got home from work, hung out with her for a little bit, then came up and went BACK to sleep. I felt better today (less BLEH), but my throat is still hurting, and now my nose is starting to stop up and I'm starting to cough.

OH, also, i ended up getting a HIGHER check than i planned, so I gave Madre $60, put $80 in the savings toward CHICAGO, and had a little left over to last me until next wednesday. And I should be getting another check like this because now I'll have four days this week instead of three since James had me working yesterday (so as much as working yesterday totally sucked balls, i got more hours so it'll be good in the long run).

And I think that's it for now - I need to get to bed soon, and try to keep this sicklyness at bay!

If I have that song in my fron for the next couple of weeks, you can totally blame creation - That's the song I picked to use for my Michael Shanks vid contest entry. I started in on it today while I was in the box... Yeah, ain't getting this one done in less then two days! And if this one's giving me major brain cramps, wait until I start the Ben one! *headdesk* I'm glad I have until the beginning of August with these...

As for my prompt on the friendathon - yeah, still haven't even sat down and put the brabbits to work on a general idea on where to go with that one. For all who are interested in my prompt, it's Cam and Daniel, the prompt word being 'learning curve'. If anyone wants to toss some possible beginning threads for the story my way, I'll happily take them!

So Ted just jumped in my shit about not paying my part of the phone bill - he didn't yell or anything (which really is a surprise, considering). And he mentioned something about being $500 behind - idk what that shit is about, cause the only thing I own them is the money for the phone. I haven't been HOME to owe them anything else. Madre and I agreed that I would be paying her back over the summer - which I will start on Wednesday when I get my check for this past week. She told me not to worry about the crap that Ted was saying, and I'm not. I'm just mildly irked that he's blaming me for his money problems again.

When I get my check on Wednesday, and see how much I'm actually getting (i clocked 31:48, I believe - I know it's 31:something 8 - I didn' quite catch the 'middle' number), I'll be able to divy (how DOES one spell that word?) things up the way I want. Depending on what I get, I'm thinking $30-$50 for Madre, $60 to put into saving for Chicago, and have whatever's left over to have for spending (probably for Madre for Mommy's day) - IDK though... Like I said, I have to see my check. It's probably lower than I'm expecting, which WOULD be my luck.

The baby that I mention last week? Yeah, the poor little kitty died the other day. Very sad - but he held on longer than I originally thought he would. Still, it's a smidge upsetting. He was so cute! So Sheila is now down to five kids - all of which are the cutest little balls of fur EVAR. Of course they always start out that way, and then they turn into the THINGS rampaging all over the house now. *snort* No, all joking aside, ya'll know i LVOE my kitties!

What else did I want to talk about??

Oh, my work schedule for the week - OFF Tomorrow, Wednesday, and Thursday (SCORE!), working Friday 1-9 R (of course! Abyss is on Friday night! GRRRR! and the fact that I have it on DVD (3 times), and iTunes is neither here nor there), 1-9 B on Saturday, Sunday off, Monday 1-9 B, and Tuesday off (Very happy I'm getting Tuesdays off - I would HATE to fall behind on ENKISS!). I'm pleased with this schedule - True, it's only three days, but after this week of 3 days straight on a register, I'll take it. It's still money, right?

Before anyone asks, no, I haven't read any in a little bit - I brought the companion with me today, along with the next book on my list just incase I got productive. But I ended up spending the whole time in the box working on the vid. It really is a complicated one. I'm thinking I might read after posting this since I'm not that tired, and I really want to get back into my frelling reading list! I don't want all my early progress to be for nothing!

Miffed 'cause Sunday's ep of the Tudors isn't up yet! I SOOOO wanna see it! That show is like my crack - it's seductive and addictive and amazing. True, it's not completely historically accurate, but that's why I always go in with the actual history not biasing my viewing. I watch for the entertainment and the storylines being weaved and the KICKASS costumes. It's a seperate entity from what actually happened, even if it's tied to it in almost every way. I honestly reccommend it! If you don't have faith in DLing it or buying the first season, it's up on surfthechannel (where I watch the current season). Again, definitely recommend it! It is LVOE!

Okie donkie *told you I would use it!*, I think that's about it. I'm gonna take one last look at my progress on the Michael vid, then it's off to read!

P.S.: PIMPING MY LATEST ICON ADDITION!!! *points to shiny new icon*

P.S (squared): I'll be getting to the meme I was tagged on, and that meme from a while back where people asked me questions probably tomorrow. That is the plan anyways!

I worked the past two days in a row, and have another day tomorrow...

Three days + 1-9 on a Register during Crawfish Festival weekend = *iz ded*

My knees and feet are killing me, and I have one more day of this!

Oh, and lets not forget the fact that I'm pretty much ignored by everyone simply because they are the type of kids that are like "oh yeah, I'm a high school junior/senior - I'm better than you..." Gah...

I just going over the same mantra in my head: "Chicago will be worth all this...Chicago will be worth all this..."

*sigh* I'm frelling exhausted!
