So for ShanksSaturday yesterday, I worked on a bit of Shanks!Spam for all to enjoy. They were posted on Tumblr/Twitter yesterday, and now I'm posting them here for you all to enjoy! :) (and apologies to all on my flist who saw me post this in three different places! XP)

This weekend has been kinda uneventful and yet exhausting at the same time...and there's still several hours left to go in it! *snirk*


+ I never got around to posting my thoughts on Absolute Justice (which, of course, I watched). Friday night, right after it aired, several of us on Twitter headed into a chat and got caught up on good ol' fandom drama and fangirl ranting. This, of course, led to huge issues and I spent A LOT of yesterday dealing with the repercussions of the chat (amongst other past issues). So the 'thoughts' on Absolute Justice just were never gotten to. Here's a quick summary of what I thought: HOE-MG , FUCKING FANTASTIC. Shanks killed as Hawkman, Brent Stait blew me away as Dr. Fate. The music for the episode was AMAZING and I want it. I now have two new favorite super heroes - Hawkman, of course, and Green Arrow. I would continue to watch Smallville just for Justin Hartley. *nods*

-- As a sidenote to Absolute Justice talk, I about flipped my shit when it was finally put up on iTunes and was listed as 'season only'. A quick scramble over to Standard definition revealed it could be DLed individually there. *phew*

-- Another sidnote: TOTALLY and IMMEDIATELY saw the epic potential of Carter/Oliver slash while watching Absolute Justice. For seriously, if Shanks only realized the number of slashy tendency relationships he's inspired across fandoms! XD


+ Bummed about having to miss the Canucks game against the Panthers on Thursday. Tried long and hard to get all the pieces together to make it to that game, but it just wasn't in the cards I guess. *sigh* Guess my chance to see my favorite hockey team play will have to come later down the line.


+ Since I have such lovely minions, 'Desperate Escape' is being taped for me tonight (I don't get Lifetime Movie Network). So soon come, I'll finally be able to watch it (even if I already know the outcome)! I'm very excited. Now...when are we gonna hear more about Arctic Blast??? ;) (hey, he missed D*C to make that movie - I wanna see it!)


Think that's it for now. Have more studying to do for the two exams I have tomorrow, a bit of fic writing to be done, and modly stuff for shanks_lims  to take care of. *brings back that exhausting point again*

*bounces* CAN IT BE FEBRUARY 5TH NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOW??!?!?!? PEAS AND CARROTS?!?

It's been a little bit since I really jammed to this song...okay, so it was last week when I went to bed listening to music, but that is neither here nor there!


I figured I'd give a nice little 'So here's things' post...So here's things:


+ Guess the most prominent thing going on right now is we (the fellow roomies and I) are on the hunt for a place to live next year. We went looking around at apartments yesterday and today. Found two possible places off campus (one that's REEEEALLY NICE) and of course have Ragans considered into the equation. We've made a pro/con list of all the places and are going back to the two off-campus ones tomorrow to clear up some questions we have (and when I say off campus, I mean LITERALLY across the street from main campus - they are right off Tennessee street).


+ In big home news, we got a new puppy. Madre was telling me that he just showed up at the house. They took him to the vet to see if he had any identification (tattoo or chip, etc) because he had a collar but was very dirty. He wasn't tied to any particular owner, vet said. He figures someone just dumped him off. He's a 4-5 month pure black lab. So of course Smurf took to him instantly (good hunting dog and all) and named him Tucker (apparently he doesn't get the idea that it's kinda...weird reusing a name you already used for a pet...we've already had Tucker the kitteh). What's wrong is Smurf is playing favorites and completely ignoring Harley now...poor Harley. He always got more luvin' from me and Madre anyways.


+ Challenge 1 of Round 1 at shanks_lims  has kicked off!! Sign ups are open through the end of the first challenge, so you still have time to join! And even if you don't have the icon making skills or aren't quite up for ANOTHER lims, keep an eye on the comm anyways. Guarantee there will be much pretteh coming out of it! *nods*


+ Loving my French class! It's actually pretty easy to understand and I've been doing really well. Been acing all my assignments and I got a 94 on my first exam! *dances* I knew taking French would be a good idea - the fact that it's my favorite class this semester is saying a lot.


+ Trip to see the Canucks is pretty much a no go at this point. I don't have a set person to go with, and the dineros situation is even more dire. I am bummed, of course. But I need to, ya know, SURVIVE the rest of the semester so I can't just flit away money to watch hockey. Also, won't be getting my Kesler jersey in time if I did still go, so it kinda takes half the fun out of it.


+ If you haven't seen yet, all new promo for Absolute Justice HERE. We get full on Shanks in this one with speaking stuff and scruffy and HOE-MG I WANT THIS NOW!! A week and a half is TOO LONG!! (thanks to perpetuality1 for the heads up!)


Okie donkie, I think that covers everything right now. I was gonna mention how my loud twitter had stopped working since they had the system down, but it's finally posted again. So that's all straightened out!

I know its a hawk on his chest, but you CANNOT tell me you didn't think Thundercats when you saw that chestplate (or maybe I'm just that big of a dork!). And DAMN, is it February yet?!?!? (how ironic - was saying the same thing LAST year b/c his Burn Notice eps were gonna be premiering...and now that feels like forever ago!).
