Nothing like Montgomery Gentry to get you in the mood to post, eh? (that song is my ringback tone too, so if you give my cell phone a ring, that's what you'll jam to until I answer XD)
Okie donkie, there's not much I wanna post about, just a few random things. I'm actually pretty tired, sooo....
I didn't work today, and I'm off tomorrow. This is very happy to me, especially since I'm still getting 4 days this week. It's a very pleasing thing.
Went to Wally World today and picked up a few things. Got about 5 packs of page protectors (since they didn't have any of the 60 packs) b/c I was COMPLETELY OUT (i even had to jack a few from my POtC scrapbook so i could put SOMEONE'S letters in V.3 of the chronicles!) - *snirk* Some People Change just started, and my iPod is on shuffle - , a roll of unbubbly packing tape so i could do some old-school lamenating of the totally trashed Boys of SG-1 poster (Daniel is the ONLY one of the four to escape injury. I know, it's a shock. How did Daniel escape the whump?!)....
Also checked out the electronics section since I'm a movie addict and needed to see what was out. Ended up picking up MST3: The Movie b/c it was there and I've wanted it since i saw it at the SLC Midnight showing. Also got S.1 of Burn Notice. I've been kinda interested in the show for a little bit, and hearing ![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif){kind=small}
taraleesg1go on and on about it helped convince me to get it. Plus I hate watching a show JUST because someone is in it, so I figured it'd make me feel better to being INTO the show when Michael's eps finally do air. (And to be honest, I HAD watched 24 and CSI: Miami BEFORE Michael was on them. And what is with him being in MIAMI based series? It's a GOOD thing they aren't really shot in good ol' Mijami, or i would KILL - KIIIIIIILL!!!!!) From what I've seen, it's funny, Gabrielle Anwar is on it (Margaret Tudor for my one fellow Tudors junkie!), and I REALLY like how he explains the spy world. It kinda get my brabbits amped to work on Wanted again! XD
I'm am totally surprised I've survived yet ANOTHER round of sg1_lims!! I mean, I haven't gotten much good praise on my icons (though the feedback and criticisms REALLY do help), but I'm still in the round. I think I've just gotten lucky to far - that mine have narrowly escaped the critical eye of most of the voters. I KNOW I'm not gonna make it to the end, and each week I swear I'm getting closer and closer to getting the chopping block....*sigh* Oh well - I'll just keep making them until I am out! XD
Plus fs_lims' new round has started! And the first pic is such a GOOD one to start with! *iz excited* Hey, maybe i'll make it past the first challenge this time! XP

OH, AMAZON SUCKS. Again they are failing to update the damn tracking page for my mamma mia OST (that or the damn thing has been leaving Memphis since Monday night!), AND they are telling me it's not gonna get here until the 15th. I PRE-ORDERED the damn OST Sunday, and yet it's gonna take OVER a week to get here?! WHY did I put myself through this hassle when the damn OST is now up on iTunes AND even at Wally World (I saw it today)?? Just to save a few dollars?? PFFT - now I wish I'd just waited cause i'd have the OST now, even if it would've cost me a few dollars more. THANKS AMAZON - THANKS FOR FRELLING WITH MY JOY AGAIN!

Jun. 12th, 2008 11:05 pmWhile the ball is in dvshipper's court for the delightfully trashy and tongue in cheek comment!fic we have rockin' on her journal (the post is HERE, and continues HERE - if you're a SG-1 Fan, as well as a LOtR fan with a sense of humor (i believe most LOtR fans are!), you should seriously check it out!), I decided to make a little post.
It's gonna be a bit jumpy in topic b/c I have a few things I want to post about that aren't really related.
We'll start with that fact that today was GOOD day for me!
See, one reason is b/c i ACTUALLY found Megasnake at WALLY WORLD! *dances* I went there today to look for it specifically, sincedvshipper told me she found it at Blockbuster. I was quite seriously in DOUBT about finding it at Wally World, but just like they surprised me by having AOT the day it was released, they also had MEGASNAKE! I couldn't find it at first, but then while Madre was telling me about something else, I saw it. Squee'd VERY LOUD, and jumped up and down like a maniac! Nobody understands how much I LVOE this movie! I mean, I know it's HORRIBLE, but that's what makes it so great to me (i think it helps that Michael is drop dead GORGEOUS throughout the whole thing!)
And as we were leaving the electronics section, I caught 'The Other Boleyn Girl' on the shelf out of the corner of my eye. I have yet to see it, but decided to take a chance and buy it. From what I've read, fellow Tudors fans like myself enjoyed it. I just REALLY have a passion for the Tudors as a whole (have since like the 6th grade), so I'm sure I'll enjoy it.
On a side note (and only Madre and myself understand how what I'm about to say is even vaguely related to what I was just talking about), i really ENJOY going to Lafayette. Not only because it's the only city nearby where I can get my chai, but also b/c every time I go, I see cute guys and a lot of them tend to like to flirt with me. You should have SEEN these two guys at Starbucks today. I swear, one of them just appeared out of NOWHERE to make my chai. And then they carried on this whole conversation about chai tea that was downright amusing (I almost burst out laughing as one of them said 'Chai does a body good.'). Madre was like 'Wow - those two have never held a longer conversation about chai in their life. Could they flirt just a LITTLE bit more?!' It really made the day ubers better, and the day hadn't been bad to begin with.
In other news (gotta make this quick since the ball is now back in MY court!), i have survived yet ANOTHER challenge ofsg1_lims! I'm really surprised b/c I wasn't so pleased with my icon entry this challenge. Still, glad I'm still in and can work on bettering my icon making skillz!
AND, coming home Monday, I found out that one of my fics has been NOMINATED for a FLUFF award!! *jaw drops* I was really surprised to see it there, especially considering it's the fic that started world war III *shakes head* Yes, that DV Valentime's fic that caused all the drama is the one that's nominated. ANYWHO, to check out my fic and see all the other nominations in the DV category (INCLUDINGdvshipper's fic!! *tackle!huggles*), click the shiny button!

sg1_lims!! All my fellow SG-1/Icon making enthusiasts on the flist, you really should join! They already have the caps up for the challenges in round 1 (to give people a headstart in making the icons, in order to save time or for the over-active icon maker who needs to slay thy boredom!), and how can you pass up challenges like BONDAGE, I'M TOO SEXY, and MEN OF SG-1?!?!?! Y'all should really check it out! Round 1 is still open for sign ups! It's a good way to get constructive criticism on those wonderful icons I know most of you on my flist make! XD
