dannysgirlsg1: (Pip - Finally Understanding)

Since I've decided to be a really bad student at the moment and postpone doing my reading journal for the time being, I decided to post.

~ Went to the mall as planned. Picked up First Knight as planned - it was only $10, which is a good thing. Best Buy also had a handful of movies on sale for $5, so I got G.I. Jane and Once Upon a Time in Mexico (Viggo and Johnny! MMMMM). Then headed over to the mall itself to check out Hot Topic and get some food. I went to HT with the intention of getting a Joker shirt I'd seen a few weeks ago, but then of course had to look at all the Twilight stuffs (they got a bunch more in). I was tempted to get a Jasper shirt - even picked it up. But then decided to go a little more vintage and get the 'I Heart Yoshi' shirt I'd been eyeing for a few months. Because I'm sorry, but Yoshi beats out Jasper anyday. *shrugs* I did get the Joker shirt I wanted (and thank god I went with that in mind b/c they only had one small left). I also got a new belt since my Star Wars one is on it's last legs. It's plain white, which is perfect for me - I like to personalize my own things and such. Problem is I got the belt in a size too small for me. Yes, I know, shocker. I know I'm unbelievably skinny, but my shape is very much hour glass like, so my hips are more pronounced. So smaller sizes won't work for me here. It's all good though - I'm gonna head back in a few weeks to hit up Hallmark for singing Valentime's cards (it's a rule), so I'll just exchange it then.

~ Glad First Knight was so cheap. I was watching it about half an hour ago (was already an hour into it) and had to turn it off. I have seen it before and had liked it then, but maybe it's just being 'forced' to watch it when I really don't want to that's making it no fun. I kept noticing all the downsides rather than the good stuff (except Sean Connery - nothing bad can mask his awesomeness!) - so I turned it off. Tomorrow, after my ANT4930 class, I'll probably do the reading journal by just winging it. That way I get the grade but don't give myself another headache by making myself do this work. You know it's pretty bad when I'm laying there watching Mega Snake in my head rather than watching the actual movie I put on - OH YES, I WAS DOING THIS! XP

~ In GOOD movie news, a movie I recommend everybody see - Humboldt County. OMG! It was playing last week at the SLC, and we went and saw it. Wow...just wow. Brad Dourif blew me away... only at the very beginning did I go 'IT'S WORMTONGUE!' The movie as a whole though... yeah, I even cried. As Gus put it, "It's a movie with substance about substances". I think that covers it perfectly. You can watch the trailer HERE, if you're interested.

~Michael and Claudia doing a comedy together would be...outstanding! I know they've been talking about it for a while, but to see more about it after so long is pleasing.

~ SEE, it's reasons like THIS that I LOVE Billy Boyd!:

I swear, if this man put out an actual album I would buy that shit! If I wasn't listening to the Titanic OST right now, I'd put on The Steward of Gondor to hear Pippin's song. *sigh*

That's it for now in regards to this kinda stuff - I'll be updating my DVD list and hopefully putting up pictures from the field trip yesterday and The Audobon Zoo trip last month.

Okie donkie, I have always had a soft spot for tongue in cheek LOtR humor. This could explain the comment!fic tht got WAY out of hand... anywho...There is just NOTHING better for me, really - always makes me laugh harder than anything else (except for maybe when Madre and I get in a mood and just start spewing random and pointless shit).

Well, while showing [livejournal.com profile] dvshipper the finer points of Arwen-Undomiel (my all time favorite source for all things LOtR) - those being the ROtK Condensed and TTT Condensed - I realized I hadn't checked out the sight in a while and decided to check out this bit of humor.

WARNING: This will cause extreme laugh for any hardcore LOTR fan with a sense of humor!

Bad TTT Subtitles

Yeah, the last oneon the 80-100 page literally had me falling out of my chair in hysterical laughter!

An it's a shame the FOtR one is broken...*pouts*

But alas, enjoy the FANTASTIC LOtR humor - there really is nothing like it!

~Pip

P.S: I SOOOOO Want the "They're Taking the Hobbits to Isengard" Rap Song as ringtone!
