"I think I'm moving but I go nowhere..."

While the ball is in dvshipper's court for the delightfully trashy and tongue in cheek comment!fic we have rockin' on her journal (the post is HERE, and continues HERE - if you're a SG-1 Fan, as well as a LOtR fan with a sense of humor (i believe most LOtR fans are!), you should seriously check it out!), I decided to make a little post.


It's gonna be a bit jumpy in topic b/c I have a few things I want to post about that aren't really related.


We'll start with that fact that today was GOOD day for me!


See, one reason is b/c i ACTUALLY found Megasnake at WALLY WORLD! *dances* I went there today to look for it specifically, since dvshipper told me she found it at Blockbuster. I was quite seriously in DOUBT about finding it at Wally World, but just like they surprised me by having AOT the day it was released, they also had MEGASNAKE! I couldn't find it at first, but then while Madre was telling me about something else, I saw it. Squee'd VERY LOUD, and jumped up and down like a maniac! Nobody understands how much I LVOE this movie! I mean, I know it's HORRIBLE, but that's what makes it so great to me (i think it helps that Michael is drop dead GORGEOUS throughout the whole thing!)


And as we were leaving the electronics section, I caught 'The Other Boleyn Girl' on the shelf out of the corner of my eye. I have yet to see it, but decided to take a chance and buy it. From what I've read, fellow Tudors fans like myself enjoyed it. I just REALLY have a passion for the Tudors as a whole (have since like the 6th grade), so I'm sure I'll enjoy it.



On a side note (and only Madre and myself understand how what I'm about to say is even vaguely related to what I was just talking about), i really ENJOY going to Lafayette. Not only because it's the only city nearby where I can get my chai, but also b/c every time I go, I see cute guys and a lot of them tend to like to flirt with me. You should have SEEN these two guys at Starbucks today. I swear, one of them just appeared out of NOWHERE to make my chai. And then they carried on this whole conversation about chai tea that was downright amusing (I almost burst out laughing as one of them said 'Chai does a body good.'). Madre was like 'Wow - those two have never held a longer conversation about chai in their life. Could they flirt just a LITTLE bit more?!' It really made the day ubers better, and the day hadn't been bad to begin with.



In other news (gotta make this quick since the ball is now back in MY court!), i have survived yet ANOTHER challenge of sg1_lims! I'm really surprised b/c I wasn't so pleased with my icon entry this challenge. Still, glad I'm still in and can work on bettering my icon making skillz!


AND, coming home Monday, I found out that one of my fics has been NOMINATED for a FLUFF award!! *jaw drops* I was really surprised to see it there, especially considering it's the fic that started world war III *shakes head* Yes, that DV Valentime's fic that caused all the drama is the one that's nominated. ANYWHO, to check out my fic and see all the other nominations in the DV category (INCLUDING dvshipper's fic!! *tackle!huggles*), click the shiny button!
