"Maybe he read your report?"

Okie donkie, we're gonna start the spamming off with my reading accomplishments for the past week...
I DID end up finishing Memoirs of a Geisha last Wednesday night, so I can finish off the chapter cross-off, give it a short little review, and cross it off the list! *dances*
And now it can be crossed off the list! XD
And Thursday, I started the next book. It's a romance novel *gasp*, and I don't think reading THIS after Memoirs of a Geisha was such a great idea. I'm also beginning to realize WHY I don't read romance novels (and it's not because i have a problem with the sex in them)...

Now my review for it is gonna be a little short simply because there really isn't anything to gripe about with the book! It was absolutely amazing! The details were so rich and awesome, and the writing was fantabulastic! There weren't any lagging parts for me - all of it flowed smoothly and kept me interested. Of course, it could be different for other people.
The one downside is that I ended up liking the book more than the movie, even though I saw the movie first. I know 99.9999% of the time, the book and movie are different, whether it be with one detail or practically all of them, but I try to unbiased myself to either one of them. Still, with this, it turns out the book is so great that is totally dwarfs the movie. And that sucks because i totally LOVED the movie before, but now that I know it's nothing like the amazing novel, it makes my love for it diminish a little. It worries me for when I read Jurassic Park later on down the list because I know the book is different than the movie, and IDK what I'll do if I end up liking the book more. I highly doubt that will happen, but there's still the possibility, and I can't help but...fret...over the thought!
But, in all, totally recommend this book for others to read. It was downright awesomeness!

I will say that it does revolve around Greek Gods, Archaeology, and the myth of Atlantis - I guess I just can't venture TOO far away from my comfort zone! XP
