With the recent pimpage of the RDA lims on sg1_lims and a look at the sister lims comms on their sidebar, I noticed there doesn't seem to be one I would participate in NO MATTER the result...



So my question is - how many would be interested in a Michael Shanks lims community?? Either to participate in or to just watch the pretty come through??



PLEASE let me know your thoughts on this idea, even if you think it won't go over so well.

The thing that irritates me about LIMS (and I only just found this out because this round of SGLIMS is my first ever) is that for all the promise of helpful feedback in order to improve on your work, I always got all kinds of opinions with people both liking and hating the same aspect of my work, which kind of defeats the point there.

Having said that, it does get my butt moving to actually make something when I want to be lazy, so there's that.

I would join a shanks LIMS comm if you ran one. :)

That is something that irritates the crap outta of me as well...idk how I could eliminate that downside. I think it just comes with the territory of doing LIMS. It's all personal opinion no matter what, and most are gonna be picking what's 'safe' and 'in-style'.


Huzzah! There's one in the works right now - if only LJ would stop being bitchy and let me work on the damn thing!
