Because of a lovely unexpected, though very awesome, gift I got today, I have been in a very LOtR mood!

So got a few things I figured I'd post on even though I know I should be getting to bed (and am really tired for that matter).

~In ENC news (b/c I know ya'll love to hear about my class life!), I managed to get that journal squared away yesterday. I actually lucked out because the one part of the actual text I found interesting (i didn't READ the actual 'Knight of the Cart' for the journal) fit very nicely with what little of the movie I ended up watching. So I was able to whip up a pretty decent journal. Now I have to worry about this damn Paper. The topic isn't hard - the argument isn't hard either. I'm comparing/contrasting Galahad from the Arthurian texts to Daniel. The only requirements are we have to use an old text and a newer version, and well this has interested me since Merlin referred to Daniel as 'Galahad'. The problem is deciding which of the MANY sources on Galahad will be right for the argument I'm trying to make (that Galahad, an in relation Daniel, is the best of the lot ;D). The first draft of the paper is due tomorrow by noon - I have lab tomorrow for ANT2100 at 8:30 AM, then ANT4930 at 11:15, which gets out at 12:05. And I have yet to work on the first draft of this paper since idk how detailed she wants it  to be at this point (too much information can be just as bad as too little, ya know?). I emailed her asking just that, and i'll wait to see what she says. If she doesn't email me back by tomorrow morning, I'll just go with what I feel is suitable for a first draft. I'll write it inbetween stuff, and even during ANT4930 if I have to (Lord Danny is going around campus with me tomorrow!)


~ So I had one of those 'decorate it yourself' Starbucks travel mugs, right? Well, the bottom broke a little at the beginning of winter break. It wasn't a problem until I got back here this semester, and the humidity in the room got up inside the cup and completely warped and distorted all the stuff inside (I had printed out my fav icons and used those for decoration). So I got lucky b/c Starbucks had another out last week (they don't put them out on a regular basis)...and now I have a second 'me' mug. Michael dominates it of course.


~This research on Galahad really will help in the King Arthur AU fic - it's the only reason I actually highlighted passages in my book. I normally don't do that, but I felt it was worth it this time b/c I could be going back for reference for fic material. Also, I might look up all the Perseval stuff since that's who Merlin referred to Cam as. The stuff I could REALLY write a nice long paper on in comparing and analysing the relationship between the Perseval/Galahad stories and Daniel and Cam. It's actually quite fascinating.


~So yeah, that super awesome amazing gift??taraleesg1  in all her JOE BOB (oh yes, I said it - been ages, I know) awesomeness, sent me a copy of the COMPLETE RECORDINGS of the Return of the King. I have been drooling over it for...well, not as long as the other two, but wanted just as badly! *tackle!huggles BFF for the millionth time* That's one down, two to go!


~I've decided what trailer I'll be using for the Kawoosh Challenge. It wasn't an easy choice - I have a lot of favorite trailers! But it's settled... now just getting my hands on the audio alone (i have the trailer on my iTunes...any ideas?)...
