Here's another one of those things I promised to post last week...


So last week, in the sudden urge to sketch SOMETHING, I decided I was gonna start on a piece of art that I could have Michael sign at Chicago Con (like he signed the cover for the Frelled Chronicles at NJ Con last year) because it just feels more right for me to make something myself (since i have the capability) and have him sign it rather than just buy an 8x10 and get that signed (nothing wrong with people who do it - i know not everyone has outstanding artistic capabilities - just the fact that I do, and I KNOW I do makes it more important that I weild them when important). I figured if I started it last week, it would give me PLENTY of time to get it done by August...


Well, it turns out my artsy brabbits and my gung-ho-ness took over, and I finished it in TWO DAYS (excluding Tuesday, which was put to good use working on my folklore final) - My orginial idea was to do a main picture of Daniel/Michael, and then incorporate other elements (more images, the stargate maybe...and lyrics, either from 'Shadowland' or 'Endless Night' from LKoB) - the brabbits ditched this idea right after i finished the portrait/main pic of Daniel because to my utter surprise, it turned out A LOT better than I thought it would (that doesn't mean I think it's perfect - I can see all the damn flaws in it!) The lyrics stayed, but the rest of it remains simple to put all the focus on the sketch (which of course is not colored in anyway - i'm not dumb....I'm not gonna ruin what might be my best damn sketch yet!)....

ANYWHO, without further ado, here are the pics of the sketch - FEEDBACK IS EXTREMELY APPRECIATED!

ANNNNNYWHO, there's been things like every day this week that have made me wanna post, both of goodness and badness, and yet I haven't (I blame RL - it is such a downer depressing bitch sometimes, ain't it?)....So we're gonna wrap this up in a nice condensed (I am using this term lightly) post here...and than branch out from there where it is needed (meaning expect to see me flooding ya'll's flists by the end of tonight, b/c WOW, lots to post about)...

See, I should b reading for Classic Myth right now, but who ever actually reads for class when they should? Besides, it's just like the introduction to Myth and whatnot, which would just be a refresher from last semester...


So I got a little unsure about my Latin class last night because it's been so long since I had any practice in language learning, and I wasn't sure if I'd still be able to retain that information. But after today's class, when we started talking about present active indicative and conjugations, it all came back (from spanish...just the knowledge of how to do it). And she said that those of us with Spanish language learning experience, we're a lot better off b/c she thinks its the romance language closest to Latin (structure and learning wise), so *phew*! Feeling much better about it!


I have a feeling I'm going to just LVOE my Folklore class...he's a very fun teacher, and I think it'll be oodles of funness. Of course getting there on Mondays and Wednesdays in 15 minutes from Carraway isn't going to be fun, but there's nothing I can do about it. I'm not dropping Latin, and definitely not dropping the Folklore class cause it's the first time they've given it in like 10 years.


Across the Universe is playing tonight at the SLC! YAY! We had planned to go see it last night, but I forgot until it was too late and plus Paris had never called me or anything. But gotta go see it tonight b/c it's the last time it's showing, and I need....NEED to see it in theaters! 3:10 to Yuma is showing tomorrow night and Friday night, and Airplane! is the midnight movie this week, so lotsa SLC goodies this week!


It sucks being hungry and having no money to go get food. I've been basically living on my fishies for the past two days. Madre is gonna be putting money in my account today, and I should be getting my Financial Aid on Monday...I wish I had it now! LoL!


WHOOT! Sunshine came out yesterday!! Mucho happy-o! That movie totally roxors! I'm probably gonna get it over the weekend when we go to see National Treasure 2 (I was about to abbrieviate it NT, but then I wasn't sure...but it just made me wonder what ever happened to the psychic plate...*hmmmmmmm*). I still need to see all those other movies that came out that I didn't get a chance to see while at home (Madre failed me...utterly and completely!). Sweeney Todd, I Am Legend, AVPR, Alvin and the Chipmunks, National Treasure 2 - Didn't see any of them. Pfft!


I'm probably gonna make a fic journal over here like I have on GJ so I can have all my fic over here (the idea of having it all remain on my personal journal is a bit much for me...) Of course that means I'll have to post them all over again. Oh the joys in that! But I just have to remind mysef it's for my own (and others) benefit!


So apparently that little plot twist I was talking about in CoL is a good one (assuming I can trust the judgement of my beta...i mean, SHE DID GET US LOST IN THE BACKSTREETS OF NEW JERSEY!). I'll probably come back from my Myth class and get those chapters polished up and posted on ff.net. I'm gonna work on Ch.11 after I post this...


Btw, it hit me last night (like *WAHPOW!*) - DISNEY MUSIC PWNS ALL!!


Oh, and The Tudors OST is amazing, but why wouldn't it be? :D


I need to go to the bookstore and get another Latin Dictionary and a PRS transmitter...and I need new pens and batteries (for the frelling faulty camera! *kicks it* I'm probably gonna buy myself a new one after I get my money, cause I don't want to take the POS I have now to Chicago Con and get crappy pics like I did in NJ! I think I want a pretty color like hot pink, to match my hair! ;P)


Must get a Chai Tea on the way to Classic Myth - I'm in withdrawl, and that just won't do.
