Awww, poor Daniel always being the one blamed for his outburst! It's not ENTIRELY his fault he's had relationship drama in the past and is just scared to be hurt so much again! But you can SEE and HEAR how with each horrible thing he says to her that he's trying to convince himself that what he's saying is true - he gets more animated and upset and it's clear it's his way of making himself believe he really feels that way about her. It's a defense mechanism - he's used it on Jack too!
