Farscape:
01: What got you into this fandom in the first place?
I originally started watching simply because Ben and Claudia were in it, and this was after both had been added to SG-1. And then of course I did it completely basackwards and watched PKW FIRST (before ever really seeing any episode). At the end of P.1 (I was watching it on Skifficans), I went OMFG, I'M SO CONFUSED BUT I AM LOVING THIS! So when I signed up for netflix, the first thing I did was catch up on ALL Farscape eps.
02: Do you think you'll stay in this fandom or eventually move on?
Oh yeah, I'm in this one for the long-haul. It's like SG-1 - One of those fandoms I will always go back to because I am comfortable in it and enjoy it way to much to move on!
03: Favourite episodes/books/movies/etc.?
PKW is my all time favorite part of Farscape - even if it is 4 hours long, it's always worth it to sit down and watch. Never fails to make me laugh, cry, squee, and get chills throughout the whole thing! Crackers, OF COURSE, is my favorite of the actual episodes, with mentions for Die Me, Dichotomy/Season of Death, Revenging Angel, The Choice, and John Quixote.
04: Do you participate in this fandom (fan fiction, graphics, discussions)?
I've never written any fic for Farscape (though I have been informed by several that I would write good John/Aeryn fic?), and for some reason I've never really read any for it either. I have made graphics (would make vids, but I am lacking in seasons/episodes for proper vid making), and I DO have discussion about Farscape. DAMN STRAIGHT!!! If people ONLY KNEW the mind-fucking awesomeness that IS Farscape, I swear...of course it IS a quick, smart show, soo...

01: What got you into this fandom in the first place?
Twas a combination of a few things: Madre and Smurfinator watched it first, so it was on often and I caught snippets and found myself laughing more often than not (the smart, witty thing again). Then, of course,taraleesg1 carried ON AND ON about how AMAAAAAAAAAZING it was, and I got tired of listening to it and not having any imput. Oh, yeah, and Skittles sorta kinda was gonna have this big recurring part so I figured it was all well and good that I know what was going on when his eps came around. But of course became a fan of the show itself after watching the pilot epiode on DVD!
02: Do you think you'll stay in this fandom or eventually move on?
Yeah, this one's a keeper. You don't get many shows like this out there, so when something like it comes around, I feel it's important to stick to it. And it's actually a show NORMAL people know about...it doesn't come with that "Stargate" factor, if you get what I'm saying...
03: Favourite episodes/books/movies etc.?
Lesser Evil, hands down. Was impressed with EVERYONE then, and the episode blew me away. I'm not gonna lie and say it wasn't largely based on Skittles FANTASTIC portrayal of Victor, but that wasn't all to it. You saw the best of Michael, Fi, Sam, and even Madeline in that episode. Just loved it.
04: Do you participate in this fandom (fan fiction, graphics, discussions)?
Didn't read the fic until Victor came along and made for some EXCELLENT slash (and the rare but always fun hot sexy stuff with Fiona). Hve discussed it often withtaraleesg1 and Madre. It's always coming up in this house! XD
05: Do you think more people should get into this fandom?
I do! I hate how many people I know at school who go 'Oh, I don't really like it - I don't get it.' Well, if you'd get off FACEBOOK for moment, put down your alcohol, and actually WATCHED the show, maybe that college learnin could be put to good use and you'd ENJOY it. (Sorry - still fumin' from the CLUSTERFUCK that was the Canucks game tonight!)
Pirates of the Caribbean:
01: What got you into this fandom in the first place?
Originally, Orlando Bloom being in it. I'm a hardcore LOtR fan, and LOVE Legolas, so seeing Orly was gonna be in it was what first intrigued me. Then I actually WATCHED the trailer, and about shit myself just from that. I KNEW this was gonna be something different and that it was something I could really, really love. I watched that first trailer OVER AND OVER AND OVER...and on opening day, I bought TWO tickets for two seperate times even before seeing the movie. Haven't looked back since!
02: Do you think you'll stay in this fandom or eventually move on?
Forever and ever and ever. I wasn't lying when I said there is nothing else like it out there. I'll hold to my belief that the POtC series is something all to itself, and I can't imagine NOT being a huge fan of it! I've stuck with it since before it came out, and even today still get all squeeing and into it like I did that first showing! Oh what I wouldn't give to see them all again (but ESPECIALLY COTBP!) in theaters - there is no experience like seeing them in theaters!
03: Favourite episodes/books/movies etc.?
At World's End - it was a tribute to the hardcore fans, like myself, and still had enough twists and unexpected turns to not be a copy of the previous two - all the while maintaining and holding to everything that makes the Pirates movies...so iconic! Oh, and of course nothing beats Jack's 'Well we shall have a magnificant garden party and you're not invited!' That made it the best right there. AND, UP IS DOWN! XP
04: Do you participate in this fandom (fan fiction, graphics, discussions) etc,?
Have discussed, have defended, have argued with those who had no clue, have raved, have ranted...I'm a tried and true fan of Pirates...I have done it all (was even Jack for Halloween one year!)...when it comes to fic, I don't read much. I am a purist and love my Will/Elizabeth, and it seems more people are Will/Jack fans, or Jack/Elizabeth fans...I don't have a problem with that, I just would rather avoid my own disappointment. I hve made a few icons, but that's an art I have given up on. I just don't think I have a feel for that anymore...
05: Do you think more people should get into this fandom?
Yes and no - I like those who get into for the awesomeness that makes up the whole fandom. If you want to watch it to enjoy it all, then YES, go for it. But if you JUST enjoy it because Orlando is HOTT or Johnny is SEXY, than please stay away. I'm not saying I'm not a shallow fan girl, but I enjoy the substance of their acting, not just their looks (especially Johnny! He's one of my all time favorite actors!)
