Well, it's definitely not my FIRST - actually, it's my 9th (consider it's the 9th book in the series). I started with Survival of the Fittest, and have worked my way from there up to Relativity...but it IS a delightful read all the way through, and the way if focuses on all the team is awesomeness.
Actually, I think Daniel was very true to form in this one - this is the 10 years on, battle-hardened, ascended/descended twice Daniel, so it kind of expected that he would react and say things in the way he did. Of course that is all a matter of interpretation and how one sees the delightful archaeologist...
I think my FAVORITE DV moment of the book was when Cam told Daniel Vala had said she was saving herself for him and Daniel goes "She really said that?" It's just so typical of them, and my litle shippy heart clenched!
Yeah, I was thinking how I'd love to see this made into an SG-1 movie! It would be so badass!
